Hey all I need some info on crome stripping..... I'm working on a RM Chopper and want to strip crome plating from the exauste tips / belt cover and maybe afew other parts. Someone mentioned using household bleach..... Ive never tryed it and wanted to know .... How good this works / what to expect in how long it takes and if maybe i'm out of my league in trying this . Any tips or thought would be helpful. I'm building this for a friend of mine for Xmas and dont want to mess it up and have to beg for replacement parts. Thanks James

Bleach will work fine, you can also use Castrol Super Clean. It takes only a few minutes most of the time, be sure to wear gloves and use a tooth brush or something similar to get in the small crevices. For the most part it will come clean by itself.

Dawn Power Disolver also works great in stripping off chrome, and it works pretty fast too. Plus its not as skin-nasty as Easy Off or those other oven cleaners.
