The pic shows for me. I'm still stumped for a good color combo suggestion for this build. Green and Yellow? Nope...even that looks bad on my screen.

how about paiting it beer wagon yellow and making the fuel tank wood effect, so it looks like a huge beer wagon barrel? call it the gas wagon

I'd look in the railroad paint rack at the hobby shop. Floquil lacquer sprays are flat paints, but cover well and can always be gloss coated after they're dry.
Personal favorites are Roof Brown, Tuscan, Coach Green and Dark Blue.

I've got a photograph of an old Foden overtype steamer in black, liberally covered with signwriting in gold with green shadows. It'll suit the Mack's shapes.
Or a related scheme: dark blue, gold lettering with red shadows? Dark green, silver lettering with burnt-orange shadows?

Thanks for the suggestions guys! ;DI do really like this idea I've got a photograph of an old Foden overtype steamer in black, liberally covered with signwriting in gold with green shadows. It'll suit the Mack's shapes. Or a related scheme: [glow=red,2,300]dark blue, gold lettering with red shadows[/glow]? Dark green, silver lettering with burnt-orange shadows? as i'm planning to do it as an esso gasser ithink this colour scheme sounds pretty cool with matching colours

Great Idea! Any way you could lower the tank, closer to the height of the cab?

hey Ira, I've already lowered the tank by taking out the pieces between the chassis and the tanks base(bit's with holes). after checking out your salsa wagon i may do it as another condiment based showrod, I'll just tell you it would be red and not ketchup related and being a small tank wouldn't matter as you never need a lot!

So, just for fun, I figured I'd find the oldest WIP thread that still has working pictures. Here it is! Kind of a cool idea for a build actually! I wonder if this ever got finished? Paging vwcamperman!!
