been wanting to do this for a while pickup is a built badman off ebay and off l went will try and do the pickup as street worthy as possible with no scoop and maybe side pipes

Joe, there was a kit back in the late 60s that had a piece to convert a nomad to an el camino style. It was an AMT kit though so the scale would have been off for a donor. It doesn't matter though, it looks like yours is coming along nicely. Looking good as always! Can't wait to see that one further along.

Looking Good so far Joe !!!.... And AJ.........The 55 Nomad Which is still out by AMT, still has all the stuff for the conversion, I believe it has basically remained unchanged , although re-issued Several Times .

yes that is the roof from the nomad kit (if you look closely)but l had to add a 1/16 piece to make it fit

Never seen a bashed "Badman"! Can't wait to see it finished. A black cover for the bed with some yellow graphics perhaps?

Wow, I wouldn't have called that at all. I didn't even notice that it was the same piece from the AMT kit. So it was a pretty decent match even though the scales are different? I'm assuming that the 1/16th was what was needed in the middle to stretch it to the sides?

The Badman has a scale 2-1/2" chop, so I'm sure that helped take care of the height difference between the 1/24 scale body and the 1/25 cab section.
