That's an interesting combination of parts. Not sure what to call it. Hmmmmm......

I really like that thought of turning the LiL Mixer body into an Uncertain T type cab. I can see where a couple other cuts could be made and it would actually sit like that real show rod the Pizza Wagon or whatever it was called. I'm not really feelin' the sprint car chassis though but I'm sure it will look cool when it's finished.

At least it's different Martin ! I'd keep it looking old (vintage) & keep a " Euro look " to it... Sorry I have no name for it but keep us posted & maybe one will present itself...

You know, That C cab is perfect for an Uncertain look. I started the same thing for our C's V's & T's contest but never finished it. I should dig it out.. I'm using a Beatnick engine & chasis.and Beerwagon rear window.. Calling it Uncertain C..

Cool idea so far, just slice a triangle off the side bottoms to make them horizontal. Or maybe try moving the body rearward like an old Competition Coupe and see what that looks like?

unfortunately this project has all gone to pot as the clear i put over the green paint i put on has somehow taken all the yellow pigment from the green and collected in all the corners

Is that the green paint you are referring to in the pictures above, or is that filler? Sounds like you'll have to strip whatever you painted and try again. Bummer man!

That's just putty, after much deliberation i got some very subtle metallic green laquer on sunday for a sixties look and put it over the already sanded and primed body. which came out great. i put the clear on on tuesday and it went mad! the green paint has gone silver and all the clear had collected in the corners of the raised bits and turned a nasty brown colour(i'd show pics but i think you'd all like to save your eyes)

I guess stating the obvious isn't needed. Hope you can find a clear that won't mess with paint below it. Good luck!

Hi vwcamperman
I have to admit I´ve never been a fan of the Uncertain T, bur I think its a great idea you got. That will be one cool racer, I´m sure...
I think we all tried the paintjob that screwed up... several times... Back on the horse, strip it, and shoot it again...
A name.. Hmm.. what about Uncertainly... or Certainly Fast...
Looking foreward to seeing it finished.
