This is the Aurora '32 Ford Sedan - a later, eighties rendition of the Peppermint Fuzz. I didn't have a set of nice rubber handy in 1/32, so I slapped a set of 1/25 Pegasus big & little Helas under the fenders. Actually, I'm not planning on running fenders at all - I think this'll make a bitchen fenderless sedan out of this one. In this shot you can see that this car was based on the earlier version of what would later be known as the Lil' Coffin.

That was the first kit I got years ago when I started gathering the Aurora kits. I love it in all it's forms but I didn't really care for the wheels/tires that came on those late 70s versions. They were about twice as wide as they needed to be.
Harley sent me a Model T dragster which was the Spyder in it's earliest form. I had all the pieces from the Spyder which made it what it was and I'm working on it currently. They stretched the frame on the later issue which I've cut and put back in place. Everything else is built from the box and the few parts from the Spyder. Those Aurora kits are just cool.

That body was a bear to align without gluing it to the fender unit. I'm still toying with the idea of building it fenderless.

Black suede, or painting this one a color? I like that body. I built a ton of those lil' kits as a kid, and they aren't so bad. Back then, they were really affordable too! Didn't some of these kits come motorized? Or was that the larger scale ones? I did a bunch of those too but they were quickly destoyed...

Maybe lime gold or some kind of metalflake turquoise? Different rolling stock and the engine from the latest issue of the AMT ALa Kart, which is perfect, being under-scale and all:

I agree on the new wheels ... they look great! I had a few of those old Aurora 1/32nd rods when I was a kid, and they were pretty cool cars to build, not much of a problem at all if I remember right. Excellent box art too.
