So, when you put a Vending Machine and a Hangman together... You end up with a rod that's inspired by a drawing Steve Stanford did years ago for a sketchpad article, based on a mix of the Uncertain T and the "Leg Show" T built by one of the members of Early Times in the late sixties. Why "Money $hot"? It's kind of the next step after the severely sectioned "Leg Show" - the driver would be completely visible behind the severely lowered cowl with her legs akimbo to clear the floor-mounted steering wheel. I might even hang a G-string from the rear view mirror. I'm betting Dr. Flintbone would like this one when it's done.

What color you planning on this?? GREAT start to an ORIGINAL IDEA ;D Chief Thanks guys... in my head I'm picturing it in an icy blue with a white or platinum-colored interior. I'm going to build a compound-curved roof on it, and add doors before it's done. The Vending Machine chassis may or may not retain the Vette suspension in the rear. Im considering adapting the Buterra kit's Jaguar IRS and inboard disc brakes for a little more eye-candy, and perhaps a little lower rear end. I'd really like to get the chassis horizontal so that the body and fuel injector stacks are all vertical lines when viewed from the side. Of course, I may change my mind at any time... it could become a "doctor's coupe" in black and a big black bag on a luggage rack above the rear suspension.

Just an idea.... flat roof (maybe with a vinyl insert) and Baby Blue Pearl with some edge hi-lites ala Boom Burke would give it a 60's Kustom flavor. It's also BEGGING for a tall steering column and an upside down 4 spoke steering wheel. Then cram a tall shifter in there too.

It's also BEGGING for a tall steering column and an upside down 4 spoke steering wheel. Then cram a tall shifter in there too. The roof will be kinda flat, but there will be a slight arc from front to rear, and a little crown in the rear area of the roof to make it work better with the rounded back on the body of the car. The entire top of the roof will be finished to look like white vinyl. If I want to go REALLY sixties, I could try to make it diamond button-tuck. While the T-style steering wheel is a classic, I think this one's getting a super deep-dish steering wheel, mounted directly to the steering input coupler - no steering column at all. The steering box will be just below the floorboard, mounted to the inside of the driver's side framerail. As far as the shifter goes, it'll obviously be an automatic, and will sport a T-shaped shifter with a bunch of lightening holes drilled through it... or I'll just put a push-button or lever-actuated assembly in there. The interior in this thing is SMALL, and if you were going to squeeze two people in there, it'd be cozy, even without three pedals and a tall shifter on a four-speed.

I like it Dave. Paint sounds cool too. What about fogging the ice blue with a true blue kandy as someone mentioned?

Hey Scurvy, I kinda like the open look it currently has. Maybe just add a small sill across the bottom to fill the opening instead of adding doors. Reminiscent of door-less delivery trucks of old.

I put a Monogram T frame into the body and smoothed the door openings out a bit. I think I'm going to add step-over panels at the bottom of the body and leave the side "windows" open... maybe I'll add wind wings. It's going to sit LOW in back, and nearly as low in front. With the wedge of the roof, it'll still rake forward slightly. I'm going to make a peek-a-boo hole in the center of the back panel for the Q-C rear to stick out. Oh yeah - you big-shifter afficianados will note that it's going to sport a 4-speed after all...

I put it on hold while I worked on the contest entry... was tryng not to take out any other projects so I could finish it as soon as the decals showed up. Maybe I'll take it back out in a couple of weeks - I'm really busy right now.

Your're a genius! I was looking for a C Cab alternative to the Lil' Gasser yesterday and looked at Beer Wagon, and those 2...I even toyed with the vintage Mack but thought the Hangman might work.
