... just got carried away in painting & putting the engine together on this Revell 1/16th funny car ... don't know how I missed it, especially since I was painting the part, but the manifold lines (seen in the foreground) are supposed to be glued to the manifold FIRST -- THEN the blower assembly goes on top! Thats what I get for jumping & skipping around with the directions and not paying attention! Oh well, at least it looks to be a really minor thing to take care of. Saying that, it'll now take me 20 minutes to get it done, and would have destroyed a couple lines doing it! Now that I've got a halfway decent airbrush setup, I've used the airbrush for most of the painting on this one. The panels to go on the frame are now done, using Alclad Pale Gold, to go with the Alclad Copper frame. The wheels were painted Alclad Polished Aluminum after the chrome was stripped. I might do the same for the rear axle as well. The lines from under the scoop and the manifold lines were painted Alclad Chrome. If its not Alclad, its Tamiya acrylics. Hope to get this one done soon! At least there's a long Christmas weekend coming up, which might give me a least one whole day to myself on this!

Those 1/16th kits are a real blast!!! I've build several of them. My favorite one is the Beebe and Mulligan front engine rail dragster, the decals on that one are great ;D ;D And of course the Jungle Jim Vega funny car. By the way your engine looks very nice....... Ramone
