Well this build has become a pain and might have reached end. Painted Blue with White interior and Vynil roof. The roof was fine until I color sanded the body and got it the roof damp. I decided to go with Zebra interior and lots of foil (I Hate this sheet of foil I have. Don't stick.) and with these Spoked rims with thin White wall tires would look good. Well I just had to have these Flames.. Hood Flame destroyied with Decal set and sides clear sectoins clouded up after set. So it's not a build to be proud of or show off and now I notice the rims, tires are way too small of scale.. So do I junk it or just go Donk (Giant rims.) to go with that White Zebra, Lound Blue and Flames Pimped look? BiLL..

no...i'd go with a 60's custom look with chrome reverse wheels, or maybe some astro supreme style mags. personally, i hate the huge donk wheels...this looks more like a 60's custom.

I Would Have to agree with Rob & Brandon, Go with a more Traditional Wheel...Maybe try the Lil Coffin Tire/wheel combo ?...( Please NO Donk ! )

NO DONKING!!!!! ;D ;D.....GO RETRO.....AS FAR AS THE BARE-METAL FOIL GOES, BUY SOME MICRO METAL FOIL ADHESIVE (GLUE) MADE BY MICROSCALE INDUSTRIES, INC. WATER BASED WHITE GLUE THAT DRIES CLEAR BUT REMAINS TACKY....JUST BRUSH ON WHERE THE FOIL GOES, PLACE FOIL OVER THE GLUED AREA AND BURNISH LIKE NORMAL. STUFF WORKS GREAT AND SOLVED ALL MY BARE-METAL FOIL "ISSUES" ES[ECIALLY ON CURVES OR SMALL AREAS!!!!!!.................................FRED

Do they call them "donks" because you have to be a complete jackass to drive one of the ugly things?! Theres a couple of these things running around town here, and they are the most ridiculous wastes of money I have ever seen.....

They began in Miami...
They are called "Donks" because of the deer on the Impala logo. It got slanged into being a donkey, and then donk for short.
A true Donk is a 71 Impala... they were called that before the big wheel theme, but then came the 22's and that "new" term has been tagged onto the trend by the media. A Box is a square bodied 80's Caprice, and a Bubble is a rounded 90's Caprice like the cop cars.
Back when I lived back east we did crazy paint jobs for that kind of clientele and I have heard those terms for years.
I have a picture of the first bubble Caprice on 20" Daytons in the Birmingham/ Muscle Shoals area that my buddy did a monster flake paintjob on. This was right when the 20" wheels first hit.

Alright now.. It looks like a Donk is uncalled for.. I'm not crazy about them either. I'll come up with something.. I do know that I need to use Spell / grammer checker more often. Or don't drink and type..LOL
