I have to tell you, when I found out Joe was casting the Cosmic Charger, I couldn't wait to get my hands on one! It's been sitting on my desk for a few weeks, and the ideas have been flowing around it! I'm using the basic kit from the Too Much double dragster. The chassis ended up being almost 30mm too short, which is amazing considering its a dual engine kit, but the Cosmic is really long!! I started wondering how to lengthen it, then I thought, hell, it's a sealed body, nobody will know it's missing a section!! LOL! I wanted the biggest slicks I could get under it, so I modified some old Monogram slicks with the Dremel, and grafted aluminum out rims to some Cragar deep dish 5 spokes that are rear mount. It all fits up under there nice after I narowed the axle and added some MRC adapters. The front rims are from Scale Repros, with o-ring tires. I love the lines of this streamlined body. EEK! There's a hole in my chassis!! You guys won't tell will you? I'm naming this one the "Big Kahuna". Look for Hawaiin-style lettering (as in Roland Leong) and some tiki graphics.

So, whatcha using for power? You just going for the standard blown Hemi, or perhaps something more esoteric? Since most of the mill will be shrouded in bodywork, perhaps you could just concentrate on a "different" induction system - dual blowers from the '53 Studebaker? Maybe a Roots blower with a Scott Slot injector and a swoopy fiberglass scoop?

Tim, use some 1/16th inch styrene rod to connect the two sections of the rail frame, or 1/16th inside diameter aluminum tubbing. It should slip over the ends you have cut. That will make your frame stronger as well. Looks like a kool build in the works. I like where you're going with this. ;D

Very nice Tim, I'm sure you'll get a beautiful paint job on it! I agree with Joe in that it should have an engine out of the ordinary ;D

I agree, some kind of swoopy intake system or blower hat would be cool, but I gotta' have a big motor in it guys!! I'l probably use one of the hemi's from the Too Much, but not sure on the rest of it..I'll keep you posted!

Hey Tim, You could do Two sets of triple blowers on the intake from the double blower Studebaker if you manage to fathom out what it is I'm talking about

Yeh, wouldnt that be wild to use two of the triple stacked blowers from the Creepy t on that or the intake from the t'rantula?! Have them tipped out, then maybe a huge scoop of bizare shape connecting them in the middle!!?
