My phone rang at 4:45am this morning, one of my best friends home just a mile North of me had just been hit by a tornado, and he was calling to warn us and see if we are OK! Unbeleivable, we dodged the bullet again as this was an F3. The storms moved all the way across the state, my Aunt & Uncle live in an area called The Villages in North/Central Florida that was hit extremely hard, with over 500 homes damaged or destroyed, as well as missing persons and some fatalities. Another area called Deland, just 20 minutes West of us also had huge amounts of damage. There are about 8,000 folks out of power. The storms are still coming across the State right now, but South of us. I hope my friends from Florida across the State are OK! Bill, check in buddy! Hale, how about you folks?

Sorry to hear this. I hope your friend and his family are ok. This is just one more reason why my wife and I left Florida this past June.
Just spoke to my dad. He and my mom still live in Pinellas. It has been a rough day for them. They have close friends in The Villages, and have been trying to get ahold of them.
To all Florida members- I hope all is well.
