Man that's wild Dave! It's one rod kit that just didn't do it for me but you are doing it justice for sure.

That rocks! ! ! ! What color are you going to paint it? ?? ? GB Barten You're looking at them! It's peeling green over rust on the "steel" T-body, while all the "aluminum" nose and tail bodywork is in red oxide primer. It's had more weathering, lettering and decalling since these pics, though. The wheel discs (nickel-plated 15/32" snap caps) came out GREAT!

That's some high praise - I hope the finished product lives up to it... I finished it last night for the show today - didn't win anything, but didn't plan to. I did get lots of nice comments on it, though. I'll post finished pics tomorrow in the Completed folder... then we can close this thread. I love doing these weathered, primered rods, but I really don't want to become a one-trick pony, either. Hopefully the occasional metalflaked, glossy build reminds everyone that I can do more than patina, huh?

It's not always the show winners that demand attention at shows is it? Ever notice at rod runs, the cars that never win because of the competition with the "lint free" air filter, have a crowd around them all day? Give me a 50's built hotrod, or a garage built cruiser with some neat details! I like what you did with this tiny kit, giving it the real rod appeal. Nice work as usual Dave.
