I have to thank Bert Wallace for sending me this revell Drag Nut kit. I have never built this kit or even owned one until now!! I am building this box stock with just extra detailing with paints. photo 1-after glueing him together and filling all seams with putty and then sanding them smooth I started by rattle can spraying him flat black. Then using the 99 cent wal-mart craft paints in the little squeeze bottles I started dry-brushing a base of leaf-green. Followed by more dry-brushing of lighter greens by adding white to the mix. photo-2 I then painted the eyes white, touching up the area behing the eyes with black. The inside of the mouth was given a wash of red, the tongue was dry-brushed with various shades of red, pink, and white. Teeth were painted white with red along the gum line and a wash of brown to dirty the fangs. Hair was dry-brushed using brown, light brown, grey, and white. photo-3 I then used brushed on tamiya gloss clear on his eyes after painting in the red veins, inside his mouth, tongue, and fangs to give it a "wet" look. I still have to do his coat, pants, and shoes along with little rat fink and finish up his hot rod......................................Thanks Fred

Great drybrush job, but I gotta admit I think I dug it more before the red. It had that "horror movie poster" lithograph look.

Hi Scurvy!.........Are you talking about the red "eyes"? Yeah Michael was giving me a Hard time saying leave the eyes white with no pupil...it looked more creepy!! I agree with you guys on that, I just wish I had gone in another direction with the car because I painted the car first in a metallic pearl red. Now that I painted the guy/monster I kinda wish I had made the car more creepy to go with him instead of making it more show roddy.....is that a word.."roddy"?? and I wanted to build this box stock and keep it original....................thanks Fred

Man Fred, that just kicks a$$! I don't even think I'd use the helmet. The helmet covers up the outstanding work you did on his scraggly lookin' hair. It's a very nice build thus far Fred as I'm sure it will be another outstanding fiinish as well.
