Well I got the rest of the car disassembled, decals removed, repainted the motor and reassembled it-still have to attach the distributor and headers, dry brushed the driver figure and even hand painted the mongoose logo on the top of helmet. I sanded down the body, primed it and painted it with tamiya metallic blue. Slicks were sanded down and shabo dry-transfer lettering was added. Gotta dig through my stash and look for new front end components or acclad the kit chrome front end as the chrome has really faded over the years. Just waiting on the decals to arrive and I should have her finished up pretty soon .......................Fred

I had the Snake FED when it first came out ... neat kits! Will love to see this one when its finished.
Have you thought about using Alclad Stainless Steel rather than Alclad Chrome for the front end? I think the Stainless Steel stuff looks great for parts like that.

Holy crap Fred, do you actually eat and sleep? I'm beginning to think that you bleed TEstors glue or whatever solvent you use to bond kits together.
Nice work! I still can't wait to see this one finished! Lookin' really good thus far as always.

Well.....after working so long on a schedule where we rotated shifts every six weeks (11pm-7am, 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, plus a swing shift) I got use to getting by on hardly any sleep!!(LOL) ;D ;D ;D............plus I am not one to just sit and watch tv, movie, etc without doing something......so If I do watch tv, movie, news, etc I just start working on a model and try to get something done no matter how small. I also try to do multiple builds so while something is drying on one build I an assembling/painting something on another build. My wife and I have been married 20 yrs this Oct 2007 and we started dating when we were 13 yrs old (we dated 11yrs before getting married) so she totally accepts and enjoys the models. Not to mention that Michael is usually right there next to me working on his models, only its after lacrosse practice and homework before he hits the bench ;D ;D ;D!! I actually have three things going at once right now.
