Well, here's where it starts. This will probably be one of those projects that will be ongoing for many months. I've just assembled the resin parts themselves. My next thing is to stir up a mixture of baking soda and Zap CA, and create lot's of warts to all over him! You can see this guy is huge! Here he is posing next to another really ugly fink....(scuse' my fuzzy hair, just got up...LOL) And here he is next to one of the Revell Ratfink kits, that I made into a Batfink. (another not quite done project....)

Hey Tim,
I am actually a figure sculptor by trade. Yep, my "Nosferatu" avatar is one of my sculptures. So, I have some experience here.
Why not try using drops of epoxy glue for the warts? Just mix up some epoxy (the 5 minute stuff is fine) and get a drop of it on the end of a toothpick and just dab it onto the figure wherever you like. You can vary the size by using a sharper or blunter applicator and larger or smaller drops of glue. Gravity will affect the shape, but if you keep the thing level while they harden, you can then turn the model and work on another area once they stiffen up (that is why the 5 minute variety).
Hope this helps! Hey, that is not a bad sculpture.....! Don't know about the one with the glasses though.........! Kinda scary.
Mike

Thats cool man.Can someone tell me what those fink guys are I see them a lott lately but I h've no idea. Rat Fink was a character created as the non-child-friendly version of Mickey Mouse (at least that's one story) by the infamous Ed "Big Daddy" Roth. Another version of the story tells that he drew the original to tick off a rival pinstriper/T-shirt painter nicknamed "mouse". The unexpected popularity of Ratfink (the initials "R.F." were better known for a less messageboard friendly term back in the day) led to the Eds (Roth and Newton) creating all kinds of different "Finks". Bonehead, thanks for the epoxy advise. Your right, it works well.(I have done it before...) I use the CA/Baking soda stuff for filler alot, and it sands well. (hard as a rock) Show us some more of your work too!

I've heard good things about using Liquitex modeling paste to fill pinholes and such. It's something like ground stone or ceramic in a carrier. Brush it on, wipe off the excess and let dry.

Tim, if you're going to personalize him, he ought to have glasses or contacts, and be standing on a skateboard!
