Kustom Klowns... I scored a "Glue-Bomb" Vanbulance a few weeks ago on ebay and it has been sitting in the freezer for a couple of weeks. I managed to break it down fairly well but the chassis will NOT come away from the interior without breaking one or both!! Not a major problem, though. The engine is in a bit of a state at the moment. The pink colour is an undercoat and shows up the glue i couldn't manage to get off the block. One of the cylinder heads is crooked and I had to do a bit of plastic surgery on it to try and align it. I have sanded off all the old decals and some of the yellowing of the plastic (it doesn't show up in these pix but this one had been stood on the shelf for years judging by the colour of the bare plastic!!). The usual sinkmarks are being worked on here and I still have to carefully remove the decals from the back door. And finally a pic of what I want to do to the roof. As I want some more headroom in the back I am intending to extend the roof forward and open up the internal roof to make more headroom. I will have to remove a section of the "windscreen" to fill in the blank but not too much as I do like the look of the standard kit. That's it so far and I will keep you posted as to it's progress in the future. B.T.W. my other Vandal build has stalled for the time being as I need some inspiration for the interior for that one. Cheers, Rick. aka Sixwheeler.

Try soaking the joints with Mineral Spirits to loosen the glue. Check past posts on paint stripping for tips on getting the rest of the paint off if you desire to.

I can spot you an interior or chassis if you need one. It's black of course, from the Vandal reissue. If you need it, PM me.

I have squared up the chassis and interior now. Got rid of a load of old glue from between them but still could not get them apart.
The old roof has a huge hole chopped out of it now and the new roof has been lengthened and filled. The driver's canopy had been chopped back to accomodate the lengthened roof.
The BOSS motor has had some work done to it and I am figuring out a twin blower setup for it!!
I'll post some more pix soon.
Later, Dudes!

here is the latest on my Vanbulance 2. The roof is still being filled, sanded, filled again! Sanded again!! The lightbar just came in the post today and looks awsome on the longer roof. The engine is coming along nicely with it's two blowers and scoops. Still some work to do there, filling holes in the resin castings, scratchbuilding the "pyramid" that the blowers will sit on. I've still got to wire and plumb the engine as well!! Now I've just got to find some champagne and glasses to go inside and cast me up some speakers to fill out that interior. Cheers for now, Rick. aka Sixwheeler
