That's great! So, what color are you going to paint it? Seems like it's screaming to be pearl white with some kind of candy fogging on the edges/features... purple?

that is looking fantastic ! i agree with scurvy- i think a period custom paint job ( early 1960's) would make it really stand out .

I love it! I reckon they're right, some kinda Pearlescent fade, accented with Pink, or purple fogged edging would look brilliant! OR all candly lime gold, with flat white trim, and interior....OOH! or maybe Flat black, with candy apple red scallops! or possibly even gold with white striping!... No matter what ya do with it, I reckon it'll look schweet! keep the progress shot's comin, I wanna see more!

I was thinking of candy blue metallic faded with candy lime gold with metal flakes over that. But I do like the idea of a pearl white with pink or purple!!!! Now ya got me thinking!!!!

I like it! I figure if a model looks good without paint, it is gonna rock, with it. And I think the overall outlines and proportions and contours look fine ... and that's a big part of the battle! I especially like the back end. That shorty pick-up bed . Good work, all around: keep up sending in-progress shots!

Man, thats a great idea. Should look bitchin' when it's finished. Pearl white would be way kool, but I'm a sucker for the kandy lime gold too, with some nice fades or scallops!! It would look good painted like Marks "Futurian".

Maybe A Pearl Red, with some Kandy Red inner Fades, and deeper outer fades & Copper scallops; or ....psychedelic Panels, on a neutral base.....or hmmm....maybe some Multi-colored Marbleizing, with cobwebbing .

The more I think about it it's gonna be one or the other. Candy apple blue over a gold base. Or it's gonna be pearl white with pink highlights. Either way it'll hopefully be flaked over one or the other!!! I just need to get some dough to order the flake so I can do it..

REALLY, the most important part of any build depicting a "show rod" is the design, not the color of paint. You got the design hands down, just make sure that the design of the paint does match the era in which it looks like it came from. My suggestion for paint schemes would be along a scallop idea.
