Do you want the exact wheels from the kit or Crager wheels from any source? There are still the last rissues of the "Vending Machine" available that would make a cool replacement. Or get a reissue of the "Monkee Mobile". Most of the resin guys listed at Rocketfin cast some version of Cragers. And, the Beverly Hillbillys truck is still plentiful also.

As I recall, the 'real' tv show car had 4 unique (different) non matching wheels / tires on each corner.
oh that wacky George Barris

This is the only picture I have. Looks like all wheels are same but with different facias on them.

Doesn't the front one look like a flattened "daisy" rim? My brother had some on his 68 T-bird. I know I've seen daisy rims on an AMT 57 Chevy kit molded in red, I think.
Just my two cents.

The appearance of the wheels is a little deceptive. Looks like George relied on one of his old tricks---adding a custom "face/cover" to whatever wheel he was installing. Budget wise he could use an off the shelf wheel and install the facia for a new look. Remember, this was long before CNC and billet parts.

Hi everyone
lnteresting - the box states the car has "hollow (miss-matched) tires. But as l recall the tires were the same all - round in the kit? The kit l got last year had no engine or wheels and tires, anyway thank's again for the help - and oh ya - l thought about doing all the wheels differant, but l think it'll look better with them all the same.thank's Keith

Since that kit is based on the Lincoln Phaeton, I'm guessing the kit engine would be the same. But, not having the orig. engine, I'd put what ever I wanted or had on hand. I'd go ahead on the Hillbillies truck custom wheels too. That's just me though.

me too. I can't say I've ever met anyone who even remembers the show. (and I've asked)

Did you say Dobie Gillis? Barris converted the Chrisman Bros. Bonneville coupe into a car for that show. Sorry about the quality. My scanner didn't like all that red & orange I guess.
