Well....I'm a lurker on the CC. I've posted a few of my projects in the past. I really would like to trade for a complete AMT/ERTL Pro Street 1970 Dodge Coronet Super Bee (YELLOW ONE). If anybody interested please let me know.
Thanks Brian A.

I'm sorry if I came off like that but am building this kit for my pleasure because I've wanted it for ever.I've never sold any of my finished builds and I never will.By the same token if anyone needs a part that I have and have no intention of using I'm happy to give them away.I apologize if I stepped on anyones toes and I'm pretty new to the site.

Well If I may put my two cents in this . I have been a member here for yrs and have had many great trades and have traded with some great people. On the other hand , Yes Ive been burned in trades and parts, Its a hope and trust issue when we take that chance. So yes alot of us stick to pll we know and trust and have dealt with on many occations.
One of my first big attemts to start something for the group was my parts box that travels around canada and all through the states... To many builders and members ... It started with good intentions and certain pll ruined it for the rest of those on the list after them ... filling the box with garbage and sending it on to the next person..NOT COOL..They know who they are and they ruined a great thing for everyone... I learned my lesson in that . When the box finallly came back to me it was full of garbage and junk,
If I ask or need a part ..Im always make sure I have something in return to trade or pay for the part. Yes ive had pll send me things with no strings attached... But I keep a list of them for future times when they post a note for something I can give back in return.
Maybe parts are scarce .. maybe it the lost of shops to get and buy cheap kits when we could give out peices and know we could replace them... We need to try and help each other out if and when we can.... Its boards and groups like this that need to help keep modeling alive at times... We are all here for the enjoyment of building and need to not let a few bad greedy seeds ruin what is a great group and a community.

I've had a few trades/sales/purchases here and can't say enough good about those I've dealt with. Here's a couple things that I always remember.
1: Always offer to cover shipping, even if it was a dollar. Many of the guys here will send a part, no worries. But one should never allow them to go out of pocket without a sincere offer of reimbursement.
2: Take a moment to A: Let the person know it has arrived (whatever it may be) and 2: that it's in good condition, you are satisfied.
3: THANK YOU. This one goes along with #2. You took the time to sign in, create your post and go through the private messaging process to obtain said item, take the same amount of time or in most cases a little less, to say thank you! It goes a long way toward the next transaction. Make your thank you public by placing it in the same thread you started with.
4: Pay it forward! If someone is kind enough to give you vintage parts and asks nothing in return? You should do the same if you can at the next opportunity.
We're all here for the same thing. We are mental cases when it comes to gleaming gold chrome, massive headers and super slicks all attached to a custom paint job. For the love of the cars, give a little love back to your fellow builders and collectors.
I am ashamed to admit, I am one of those people Eshaver speaks about above. I only hope when he hears the facts he won't think as badly of me as he does now. I am attempting to make amends for that now.
