this may be a little off from the kit hunt but as you guys seem to know where every thing else is you may know where I can find this. I would like to have a silver surfer figuring from first issue which i think was early to mid 1900.. willing to trade or buy. this is for a friend of mine I work with and it is her boyfriends birthday in November. this would be a cool gift from her to him. thanks...

eBay......... To find early issue figures. Local Toys `r us or MART for the latest one from the movie. Look in the marts or Target for the new BIG Surfer- ICON series. I have the Surfer but wont sell it. it's a gift. Thor and Wolverine too . I've gotta grow up already.. BiLL..

I Think ToyBiz made those.

Rick is right, Toy biz made them, they were the same from the 90's up to 2000, the only major difference is the packaging,
as for a first edition, I suggest picking up a tomart ? I think that's the name, it is a price guide and it will tell you which one is the first issue.
there is a store owned by kay bee call Toy works, they sell overstock toys and models cheap

If you are looking for the action figure, it looks to me like the 1990 issue is the first one. I was trying to remember when they came out as I used to collect them myself but just can't remember for sure. I didn't think it was back that far. Anyway, doing a search for Toy Biz Silver Surfer will find you what you need if that is in fact what you are looking for. Looks to be had for well under 10 bucks as well.
