Hello fellow modelers, I am looking for a copy of the instructions to Tom Daniels "Outcast" model kit. Thanks to Bad4Good here, I now have what I need to convert a "Plum Crazy" kit to an "Outcast" kit. Can anyone tell me the closest spray paint color that is available to the original "Outcast" model body? Any help from anyone here would be most appreciated!!! My "Outcast" fantasy football team was 7-0 going into this week!!! Thanks for any advice-help on this matter everyone!!! ;D ;D ;D

it is a turquoise blue for the color of outcast, as for the instructions, all of the plum crazy instrucitons would work as for the decal placement, go to the main page of showrod.com and look at the kits section, the pictures of the box will give you an accurate idea of where the decals goes, see Tom Daniel told me he wanted the car to be metallic, but due to the limits at monogram the car was done in a stock turquoise, Testors model master turquoise blue is close, I would use automotive paint though, use laquers on the body, and after you apply the decals, use enamel clear to seal the decals, I would look at Ford Ocean Turquoise, it is an awesome color or go to this site for reference on colors www.tcpglobal.com/autocolorlibrary/take care George

no problem, just wanting to help, I am building an outcast clone, Led Zeppelin, I think it is Nov 20th? I will have to check www.electricmagic.com for details on the show, it's supposed to be a one night thing, I feel if it goes over as huge as they think it will, they will probably hit the studio for a tribute album dedicated to John Bonham, and make some huge $$$ off of the tour if you need a scan of the plum crazy instructions, I can do it, you have to remember, back in the day, most of the models were plane jane on colors painted for the engine and chassis, if you want to go all out, you would have to base the build on some of the drag cars of the day, Keith Black being the most common Hemi Builders of the time, then the chassis possibly by Logge? which would be painted dark blue metallic or silver metallic? the motor would usually be black?. red, or orange, I would look at old reference photos of drag cars and base them for the details, Tom did when he designed the car
