Looking for info on the following: Does the engine out of the '60 Starliner (AMT) have an automatic or manual tranny? Need auto Did anyone make aluminium 5 slot rims? If so which kit? Ford 9" rear end - same as rims This is for a project that's in the planning stage - '56 Ford hardtop street machine - use to see one running around. Any help would be great. ;D ;D ;D Gollum

well I would think any mustang or cougar kit would definetly have a 9 inch rear . AMT reissued the big 70's versions of these a couple of years ago. You should be able to find one of those cheap.

Hi Lance: 5 slot mags are common, which style? oval slots, star slots,
round slots a lot of the older monogram and amt kits have them, star slots
32 ford by revell, the monkee mobile, I have a set of the cragar style ones
as for the 9 inch rear Don is right.
most of the mustangs had them, so did most of the late 50's fords,
I might have a spare in the box
I know I have some mustang parts here and there also

Cragar's are 5-spoke.
I may have some 4 and 5 slotted rims in the parts bin. Do you want them deep dish or shallow?

The Style I'm looking for are like the Beer Wagon (thanks for the tip) Except aluminium finish. They used to be all the rage some time ago. I'd be looking for the shallow style. Used to see them on a lot of low buck hot rods and such. Especially the pintos and such. Thanks. ;D ;D ;D

you could always strip the chrome off of the beer wagon rims, and then spray them with aluminum spray paint. krylon makes a good aluminum spray .

I have a spare set coming in from a started beer wagon Hi Tim, sorry about the cragars being referred to as slot, I had two people recently call american racing totque thrusts and cragars slot mags, so I'm in a bad habit I just remembered, Garbage truck and Beer wagon have the same mags, right? also Lance, a lot of the monogram models did have slot style mags, if it was a car in the 70's, and if the mags were similar to the starsky and hutch Car, AMT has them in the 32 ford kits, and the Monogram 55 chevy street machine. I have both, just in case as for making them auminum finish, I can do it that for you also

Hey Lance you know my email, let me get the parts you need together, send me the list, I have a lot of these kits, I have been stocking up for the winter, and those rims came in a lot of monogram kits.
