I'm doing a series of models right now, trying to a Deuce of some sort for each colour of the rainbow, without doing the same build twice.
I was a bit stuck on which kit to use for the orange one, then it hit me....durrrrrrrr - the orange Crate!
I've tred sourcing one here in the UK, but no joy. Has anyone seen anywhere still selling these? I know it was reissued, well, I think I do, but I'm coming up blank here.
Any ideas guys?
I spotted one on Ebay, but its an original issue so I suspect it might run pretty high...

Hello: in the U.K they are going to be scarce, it was more common in the USA around 2000, Revell reissued the kit, but they added a few things, better box art that is close to the original, better decals that are closer to the real car, and a resin one piece hood,
the reissue sells from $20.00 U.S. - $40.00 U.S. depending on how lucky you can get on ebay, I had one last month that I sold to another member, ebay is going to be about the only place you can find one, unless one of the board members has one, or if Revell reissued it again.
take care George

The last Orange Crate re-pop had a resin hood assembly which doesn't fit the best .. but it IS better than nothing. .. I do happen to have an original complete in the box molded in Orange in my GOOD stash (ka-ching !!!...lol.....) Starry Eyes

Here's a couple of reference photo's of the most recent resto/version of the OC as it appeared in Jan. of 2007/Pomona. Hope this is of some help, although it's not true to the original straight orange color. Cheers, "Paulie"

In the UK check out the collector market or Ebay UK. One company is Carkits International, but expect High Prices. they have a web site. Might be cheaper to contact a US Company and ask their costs to post to UK. The problem is no company exports to the UK now in bulk. There is no market for it (allegedly). Col.

Hey Kelly, how's things over there? Bert kindly hooked me up with one, but I'd certainly trade another for as much Marmite and Cocopops as you can eat ;D
