Why not scratch them using brass sheet? You could also try building your own straight axle with working steering out of brass tubing, rod, sheet, and solder!!! This is something I'm going to give a shot soon.

RatRod; Sounds like a killer idea. I have very limited time to build. How about this, while your being so creative,whip up TWO of them. One for ME ,One for YOU,Ha,Ha. I'll wait for Ken (hotrodhawk) on his goodies. I need something pre-made,but could modify. Guys thanks for the response.

Got a spring/axle setup from an AMT '69 mustang reissue. They don't even mention it in the instructions. If that don't work, I might have a setup from an AMT '55 Nomad. Let me know if you think either one will work.
