I'm needing an 8th scale roll cage for the Green Hornet Show Rod .. I hate to buy brass tubing but it may be my only resort .. I'm not sure but the larger stuff may kink (?) .. I believe the the original G.H. had a basic loop (squared) behind the driver and 2 struts coming forward to the floorboard... Is there any LARGE 8th scale kit that utilizes a roll cage other than the BIG DRAG? I'll gladly Paypal or send money .... Starry Eyes

I think some 7/32' aluminum tubing with some 3/16" solid plastic rod inserted inside would work, or just some 7/32" aluminum rod. You can make a jig for bending using a piece of 2X4, and some big nails (I do it a lot) For the struts, once they are cut with the angles needed, use a round file on the end that goes against the roll hoop, then drill & make pins. Once it's complete, sand any nicks, then steel wool using a few grades down to very fine, and polish it out like chrome with Blue Magic!!! That's how I did the roll bars in these....

There was a drag strip accessory kit that had a roll bar, as well as a Moon pedal and a few other bits. Open your wallet, shoo away the spiders and moths go to Ebay and see what you can find
