Help I bought a kit today and found broken parts

I bought a Star Truck, 70's ford pu, and when I got it home I found the windshield is broken.
Anyone?? Anyone?? LOL
Help would be appreciated.

Try the '79 Ford P/U that Model King just put out.
It may have the same glass.
I am just guessing though, so don't hold me to it.

Is there a way to change the grill on that truck to make it an earlier version??? Thanks for your help.

DJ, there are a couple guys doing resin Grilles for the Ford to backdate it to earlier models.
I do not recall the names off-hand.
I'd ask about the grilles over at the Spotlight Hobbies board.
That is where I have seen the pics, and read about them.
IIRC, at least one vendor was only selling them at shows, so you might have to ask around.

As for the W/S, I have a couple of AMT 1972 Chevy trucks that are surplus.
If you think the W/S from one of those will work, let me know, and I'll send it to you.
Or we can meet in Castaic for lunch and I'll give you the whole kit

Thanks for the offer. Let me check into the windshield from the Chevy. I would have for you to break up a kit.
As far as Castiac, I am on a fixed income, (disabled) and the fuel prices would be more than the kit would be worth. It would be much cheaper to ship it which I would pay for.
Let me see if I can find someone around here that has a 72 chevy that would let me test fit the windshield.

You could make one out of the clear plastic sheeting like what came in the Revell '29 kits... It's not that hard.
