Yep, this is absolutely one that should be reissued. Ever one that comes up on eBay sells including the old built ups. What a candidate for reissue...hint hint hint hint...ha ha!

You are right AJ . These are great kits even at the ripe old age of 44 . Well designed , the fit is a good as it gets with the classic AMT touch .. After selling my 1:1 cycle fendered '32 Highboy I built a '30 "A" bone coupe then built a '28 sedan (all 1:1's) for a friend with health issues .. I never did have the kit of the '28 sedan ... I've got a bead on a couple on evilbay ... lol.. Chuck D.

I agree fellas, that would be a great reissue!!! I had a mint one in my hands a couple years ago, with a price tag of $40.....why I put it back on the table I'll never know......Duh!!! I do have a couple R & R chopped resin bodies somewhere that fit the AMT '29 kit. Someday I'll do one.

While going to school 2 years ago, I used to play around with restoing and kit bashing a little. Well, I started getting into rods while there and was digging through my stash when I came across an old glue bomb of one. I did a section right down the middle to sort of make a purple people eater style body. Then did a chop on it and a few other random things. I didn't realize at the time that it was the only casting of it. I probably would have still done the same thing though...LOL! It was pretty rough to begin with. It's coming along but sitting in my project pile like so many others...ha ha!

I've got an original '32 Vicky body that I chopped several years ago. It is from the original kit with all the parts.. I should pull it down and put it in the "top 10" pile .. maybe you should put yours a little closer to the table AJ ? ... ;D

I would but I've been trying to live by Timbo's theory of "three". I only keep 3...er...4...would you believe 5...ok ok...6 projects on the desk. I actually have more than that but I'm really focussed on an ICE T project I'm hard at. I'm trying to have it done by the New Jersey NNL next month. Maybe I"ll have a look back at the '28 again afterwards. I have my '29 Roadster on the desk that is heavily modified as well that I need to put some time into. It's closer to being finished than my Sedan. Oh the projects...ha ha! I've got an original '32 Vicky body that I chopped several years ago. It is from the original kit with all the parts.. Jimmy Flintstone has the sedan and sedan delivery in resin (doors molded closed). Fits regular AMT '29 kit. Orig. kit was the recent Woody/ Pickup type with fenders/chassis one piece. Either will work but rear floorboards will have to be re worked. I do have the orig. kit (unassembled but missing HR parts) and have compared it with the resin. Used the roadster kit for separate chassis. Looks better. My castings were nice ones.

It would be great if the new AMT would reissue the '28. Last year's NNL here in Portland I found 1 and the guy wanted $80 for it. As you might guess it didn't go home with me. I'm sure the same guy will be there in 3 weeks with the same kit for even more money this year. And you can bet I'll pick it up and look at it and try yo justify paying his price, then think of all the gasoline I can buy with that money.

Keep the bucks fletch. Unless you just have to have an orig. to collect. JF bodies are $9.99 + S/H from Model Empire. Pick up the AMT '29 and you have something alot better than the original.

I agree, about the Jimmy Flintstone bodies. Bought 1 last week and it looks great, even on a Revell '32 frame, with the top chopped 4+ inches. I'll post pics later in the week.

I can walk down to Model Empire (about 4 small blocks) and pick one up for you. I can talk to Alex (owner) and he might even cut me a deal or I can talk to Jimmy Flintstone direct.
