not exactly a showcar, or even a real car, but i'm sure most of us used to read comics .since the comics version of the batmobile is either grey or blue (never black) i painted it testors black and blue over silver. its too bad polar lights is no more. although the instructions aren't the best, this is a really nice kit .

Wow, does that look nice!! I first painted mine Metallic Black, but decided to go to Tamiya Gloss Black ... I think your color choice is better!
Agree with you on the instructions, as some parts (if I remember right) weren't covered -- but it wasn't too hard to figure out where they were supposed to go. And a lot of parts fit TIGHT on this -- some so tight no glue is needed!!
The TV car was based off this car, I thought, so that makes it close enough to me -- its instantly recognizable as the Batmobile.

Nice one Don, what scale is that?

i'm not positive, but i think its 1/24th scale. i can tell you its probably the heaviest car i've built in this size. they must have used industrial guage plastic . i think the coolest part of the car was the design of robin. they have him punching his open palm just like he did in the tv series whenever he was itching to fight or before one of the "holy ***, batman ! " quotes.

I picked up the Car/Plane combo a year or two ago, but havent built it yet. Looks like it builds up nice though, and your finish is clean as a whistle as usual! Thats just one of those cars everyone needs in thier collection! Nice work!

That is so cool Don. My son got that kit a few years ago but was a bit daunted by the instructions. He's a bit older now so I might have to give him a few hints to get started.
