That is a basket that supposed to be a birds nets. He keeps one under the hood when he shows it. He brings out all kinds of stuff (junk) and places it around it. Sometimes he places oil under the exhaust for fun

The picture of me and Adam Petty was taken at the Milwaukee Mile when he was here for his first (and last) Busch race. I live just across the street from the track so I am there every year. The year after Adam got killed, I was able to talk with Patty (his mom) while Kyle was mobed by fans. The garage also has a picture of me and my wife on our wedding day and is full of small details. Every year i set it up at World of Wheels I have people telling me that it's one of the highlights of their visit

There looks like a drive-in restaurant in the display ... is that one of the Dept 57 stores? Nice touch! Pretty cool display.

That would be Gus' Diner. ( We actually have a real one in the area that is a VERY close match. They host a cruise night on Saturdays during the Summer so a lot of the locals hang out there. The owner of Gus' gave me that a few years ago so that I could advertise for him and people love it. I will try and get some better shots up this weekend of this years display. I will see if I can dig some out from last year that has all of the Barris cars on display (the ones I had then at least, I have added a bunch more) THANKS TO EVERYONE for checking out the pictures and kind words. I have used this site many times for ideas and as a reference for cars I have built

Great display, I'm sure you have a blast with it wherever you set it up at. I know that most of the cars shown are not show rods but it will give you an idea of how my display looks when set up. Most of the cars shown are 1:1 replicas that I have built from the car club I am in called The Losers. I have a lot of Barris stuff that I kept at home this year. Since Paul LeMat was there, I put out the the Graffiti stuff instead. There is a Joe Dirt car in the mix as well as Dragula and Munsters Coach. This is the FM*106 Rolling Radio that I pull to events part time in the Milwaukee area. The trailer is a mobile studio and is about 30' long with 8' high letters. The model lights up and plays music like the real thing. You can also see a copy of General Lee #1 and Speed Racer This truck is a copy of friends that he drives to most shows. Gotta love the old Harley in the back.

Again, thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it. This is actually only 2/3 of the display. Since I put my 78 Ford Pinto in the show, I had to leave a table with the cars at home. I can only get so much in the back of the little wagon LOL!!! I will definitly try and dig out pictures of all three tables The Starskey and Hutch car is a fake LOL!!! I had to use a Plymouth GTX instead of a Ford but it fools a LOT of people. There is a General Lee tank (on tracks), monster truck and a few junkers. I even built the Beverly Hillbillies Monster truck that was in the movie (not TV show). Two different Dragulas, a bunch of Munster Koachs, Radiers Coach and the list goes on
