Here are some pics of my extensively modified Aoshima "Road Warrior" Interceptor. This project was done for a feature article that ran in the latest issue of Amazing Vehicular Modeler magazine. To begin with, the front end was modified to represent the damage inflicted at the beginning of the film. The interior was haevily modified with considerable scratchbuilding of the area behind the driver's seat and the interior of the door panels. Lots of junk was added inside. The door was opened to gain a better view of the interior. The blower pulley was machined from an old Bic lighter striker. The belt is real rubber. Valve stems added to the tires. There's even a machete nder the rear end along with the wired explosive device. All glass was replaced with clear acetate. The list goes on and on. Total build time: 4 months.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v731/homeboy19651/My%20scale%20models/100_4343.jpg "]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v731/homeboy19651/My%20scale%20models/100_4308.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v731/homeboy19651/My%20scale%20models/100_4314.jpg "]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v731/homeboy19651/My%20scale%20models/100_4315-1.jpg [/img]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v731/homeboy19651/My%20scale%20models/100_4270.jpg

Words don't describe the effort. Just gaze with envy! The more I see that body-the more it looks like a restyled Maverick. I dunno' maybe my eyes are aren't focusing right.(I mean the actual Aussy car not your great build.)
