So, just to ask, how are you guys coming along with your builds? I've been putting in small bits of work on mine, but spare time has been far and few. Wife and Granddaughter have been ill, so Papa's burning the midnight oil all around. I did manage to get the ghost imaging airbrushed on one, along with 2 of 3 colors on a kandy fade job. Kolors so far are Apple Kandy Red. Kandy Tangerine over silver, and will add Kandy Spanish Gold to finish it off. The sparse interior components are pretty well done and ready for installation once the body is totally painted. I'm not going overboard on interior work, because the build will have some fairly dark red tinted windows, and you won't be able to see much anyways. I painted everything in metalic gold pearl: seats, dash, steering column, just so you could see it! I made a "split bench" seat from (2) Badman bucket seats, a parts box short column, and a flame-cut photoetched steering wheel to finish it off. For you kitbashers, I found these sheets of transparent colored acetate at the hobby shop, used with RC aircraft. They had all kinds of colors. The red is almost sinister looking! My first build(s) is a bit stalled, I have to find or make a display base to finish it all off. It's been a fun project. So what are you guys doing?

Hey Tim, hope everybody gets well soon!!! Can't wait to see your creations when they are finished!!! Can't wait to see what all you crazy super glue fumes eye burning, paint sniffing, x-acto knife finger cutting klowns create based on your given names!!!!...............This should be interesting and I have a feeling quite funny!! ;D ;D I am chipping away at my current showrod build and have another one ready to be started. The second build will be a strange morph consisting of a water type craft, a 1/16 scale rear-engine dragster, and a famous movie monster!!! I may even crank out one or two more showrod kontest cars before the dead line!!!Might be the Halloween deadline that gets me in the spirit!!!!!

I'm about 80% done on one, just need a top coat of paint and final assembly... I'm super-stoked about it...
I've got all of the fabrication work done on the other, just fine-tuning the details before it gets blown back apart for final painting... time is scarce, I hope get this one finished....

The only parts I had worked on prior to getting my Decals all had to be changed... I have to admit when I got my name for the contest, I was pretty dissapointed... OK, more like REALLY dissapointed, the moment I saw my decals it was a whole new inspiration! I'm sitting at about 50% complete... should be way further along by the end of the week!!!! I can't wait to see what everyone else is workin on! and I can't wait to see what the poor sap who got the name I entered is gonna do with it!!!!

;D**SIGH** ............................ I have looked thru numerous kits - parts and so on with no vision coming to mind for my "name" .. Then as luck would have it , a disassembled parts car showed up on my doorstep from 1400 miles away (you know who you are)... ;D Now I'm not giving away my "name" But I have yet to glue a single piece of my project and will await the arrival on my dee-kals before proceeding 8-)Cheers --Chuck--

Sorry to hear this Rick. That's why I never commit to anything Rick. ;D
I'm sure Tory will do the decals justice, just as you would have.

Like Whitewall, when I first got my 'name' from Dan, I was a bit bummed. The name seemed a bit flabby. All that changed as soon as saw what Dan had done with the 'name'. His ideas fired me right up!! I have all the parts collected, and I am working ahead on my build. The trailer is going well, too.
