Wow! Nice detail on the seat! I'm just lovin' the way this is going.
Another question for you Bobby...What type of lathe do you use to turn your aluminum items? Is it just a small bench top type or do you have a larger shop style lathe? I'm thinking about getting a small one for hobby stuff but I have a full size shop lathe here at work that I can use anytime while I'm at work.

Thank you very much! The new exhaust system is in the wrong angle to the side. So they do not affect the rear wheel, it must have a higher angle. Yes, now I come to the rims. ;D Same design as it has done Tom Daniels for the Red Baron. First, I wanted also to use the rims of the Red Baron kit. But they are too small in diameter. (For my wheels) And I do not have some on hand anyway ... So I produced them myself... Well... Almost the same design ... First, rim pipes, turned from aluminum and polished. Then I cut from thin aluminum two Maltese crosses, sanded, polished and painted it gloss black. The finish The components. Together, the finished Rims. Hope you like it.

I have two good, full size shop lathes, free to use. ;D A small and a large one, both with all accessories. On these machines, I turn almost all my parts. But it's not mine. They belong to the company for which I work... And I am glad, that I can use they, anytime.

First I tried with BMF, to refine the fuel tank lids. Unfortunately, it went wrong... Somehow too many curves, corners and overlaps. Was simply not good... Only with color, I thought it was also not very pretty. After thinking about another solution: The other side. I cut and sanded it away. The hole, which is incurred, was square. The fuel tank consists of two (glued together) halves. I did not want to drill it out, because I was afraid that the two halves resolve of each other. So I rubbed the hole with a reamer. The drill has two cutting, the reamer six. The new tank lids are made of aluminum. I started with these two cylinders. I thought of something like the helmet design of the Red Baron kit, and wanted to bring it here in a smaller version... And so looks the new tank lid mounted. Hope, you like it.
