I am in need of rims just like whats on the front of this car for casting purposes. I can send you originals back with duplicates, or something else from my stash if you wish. Thanks. Jody

Aren't those available in the recently-re-released (Model King) MPC Cougar and GTO Funny Cars? I forgot the 1:1 brand name... But if you need 'em, and those are the ones, you can borrow mine...

Those are Hallibrand 5 slot quick change spindle mount mags.....I've got resin copies in 1/16 but I don't have 1/24 or 1/25. If you are trying to mount them on wider tires you may have a problem getting the inset/offset correct. This can be closely corrected by adapting them to the inner / outer rib of another set or find a different riim that is close and hog it out with a Dremel nib. An easy way to remove the outside bead is to mount the hole in the middle to a Dremel drill bit and grind it away on 400 grit sandpaper. Work carefully it's tedious...lol. You will find them in the Polar lights or JoHan 60's altered/funny car kits, or they are most likely available from Competition Resins or Altered States resins. Most guys who hve been modeling a while in 1/25 will have a few in their junk drawer. I don't but they are really not that rare. Don't give up.....

By the way Jody the bearing grease cap is missing from the center of the mags, you show in your picture. Here's what you can do if you want to get anal with your build..... You can make new one's by cutting off the non business end off Testors paint brush tips. If you want the wheel to turn, you can make the spindles from stretched sprue or cut off a drill bit (make sure you sand the ends flat), and mount it to a small thin washer with the same ID. The spindle will pass though the wheel in a way that it will slip fit the center hole. A makeshift race from brass tube and can be mounted to the inside of the wheel for spacing with a slip fit ID. Only glue the grease cap to the end of the spindle. This is precision work but it's rewarding and impressive on the show table in 1/25. Hope this stuff helps.

Yes, I noted that with Tonys ride. My set has the bearing covers, but was all super glue. I just want to make copies for my own personal use basically for a short run.
johnbisci that would be great! PM sent
