Dan Warford had the Decal Digs here for a long time, and he did some beautiful replacement Fire Iron decals that have a bright gold foil lettering. I was lucky enough to get a couple sets before he went out of business. I have a Firecracker, and Fire Iron, and plan to use mine also. If nobody has replied yet, you are probably out of luck, unless you can find someone that does decals.

Hey I know this sounds stupid... But I have a old set of fire dept decals from the AMT LaFrance. Why not "personlize " it to your towns dept? Unless it is your intent to only do it box stock. I did one for my F.D. when I was active and they display it still

Dan is out of the decal business (he used to be a member of our club until last year). He is not doing it under another name as mentioned above.
I can produce the same or better quality on my Alps 5000 as Dan could on his Alps 1000. I do not currently have a copy of the Fire Iron, but I'll shoot an e-mail to Gwangi-boy and Jim Kampmann and see if they have one they can scan for me.
I plan to do as many show car decal sets as I can. Even though I start with a scan, that is only for sizing, I redraw all the decals to get the maximum quality. If anyone can send me a good quality scan, they will get the first set off the printer for free! I use an Alps 5000, 1000, and silk screening for all my decal sets. Thanks.

Beautiful (but frigid) Minneapolis! Actually a suburb of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Beautiful (but frigid) Minneapolis! Actually a suburb of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Well, that narrows it down! I don't have this particular kit, so no go on that. I do have an untouched sheet from Dan for the Vending Machine, and a scan of Hard Hat Hauler. Also have the original Milk Truck decals, since the kit I have is the original Eldon issue. Have a few others too (the AMT Cop-Out / Paddy wagon, for instance, and orignal untouched Dragon Wagon). Don, do you also want one of the 1/20 Hurst wheels for resin casting? I've got a spare set. Sounds like a lot of business to talk about around the club meeting next week!

Mark, we missed you at the meeting! Mr. Kampmann provided me with an original set of the Fire Iron decals so I can reproduce them in the original or the gold foil as people would like. Nick is specifically looking for the original Vending Machine (with the Coke labels), so I would be happy to reproduce those as well.
As I have mentioned before, provide me with a good scan that I can use, and the first set off the printer is yours for free.
In addition, if you are concerned about my "newness" to the forum or my lack of posts, please note that I usually send out the decals and get feedback before requesting payment. Unless I get a creepy vibe, then I just won't deal with you. :>)

I have finished redrawing the Fire Iron decals and have printed a couple sets in the black and gold foil. They turned out fantastic. I don't know what they used to charge for the decals here, but I have decided on $4 which will just cover the cost of the supplies.
As I have said to those I know, I'm not in this to make a huge profit, but rather to get people the decals they need to build what they want. In the end, it's all about keeping the hobby alive and moving.

Do you have pics of them? Wondering are they richer in color then the originals or about the same? Jody

At the request of some of those that e-mailed me, I have done them in the gold foil, which is a bright mirror-like gold. The original set I have in front of me (thank you Mr. Kampmann) is a dark bronze color. I can recreate that if someone wants it, but all the requests I've received have been for the foil. Here's a photo of the image, though it's hard to see the foil:
