:oVery, Very sharp and unique. Combines the elements of frieght train inline engines, Chi-Town Hustler off center cage placement. Mickey's streamliner salt flats cars and Garlits Dart bodied digger. Not to mention the things a Lincoln to please the 'way cool crew'...I'd love to see the under chassis arrangement and see how the differential had to be relocated to accept the offset driveline location. O'course this thing screams show rod all the way... Tim what a beauty

wow! what exceptional work and great detail. love the color. on another note. i used to live about 15 minutes away from El Mirage and there was a '66 Lincoln called "Heavy Metal" that had a hemi in the front seat area, that used to run. very fast when it got going. great job on this one.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. It was an exercise in design to try to make something so block-like look fast and sleek, which I did on purpose to challenge both myself and Scott! The "Challenge contests" between members here area outlet to push your imagination and your building skills tot he next level. I think I can safely say Scott Colmer has taken his design far beyond the boundries of what this challenge started out to be! LOL. His work is masterful. I really look up to him as a builder. Thanks buddy. As for the "Brick", it's off my bench finally and on to something else. I bought the Rat Fink fonts set from House Industries several years back when they first came out. Neat stuff. Worth the price, as I've used them countless times over the years. Someone mentioned driveline in this thing, ain't none! Ha ha! Curbside in that respect. There's nothing inside of it other than what you can look at from the surface. The bottom of the car is sealed up by a complete smooth belly pan. That monster blower scoop is a ballpoint pen body that I smoothed. All the exhaust pipes are aluminum tube. After removing the windshield, I filled the entire upper area with sheet plastruct and smoothed the seams. Motors and interior are from the reissued "Too-Much" dragster. Tires/rims are cast resin. I was waiting to see which one of you would pick up on the class lettering. Anyone? The molecular prefix for "salt", NACL, sodium chloride. ;D And Jeff, color blandness doesn't seem to be a factor with salt cars these days either....Here's Gene Winfields newest car, and yes, he runs it out there! And here's a few more sparkly ones....... Later guys.......

Tim,
You've missed my point, it's ALL about color as I think most people (finksters incliuded) would think of a "brick" as being red. Allow me to rephrase my statement. A real challenge for you might be to try & create something without the use of a rat fink or Ed Roth influence in it. Now that I've explained, I'm sure you'll ask why & defend your point of view but as you said " if I have to explain..."Hizoot

Oooooooohhhh gee, I get it now Jeff. Red, brick. Yes, that fits. Gotcha. Yeh, I'm a creature of bad habits I suppose....It might actually have been pretty funny to paint it with a brick pattern now that you mention it! Or a concrete look in grey with black specs.....Hmmmmm....NEXT TIME! ;D

Yep,
It's just a color thing & nothing against you... Scott & I looked at it yesterday & agreed that your concept of streamlining a huge street car & overpowering it is kewl to say the least. As you know, the devil's in the details;Just my corrupt idea of a flyin' Brick, you know, Beauty & the Brick...LOL..! ;D Hizoot

From what I can see Tim, it looks pretty good. One suggestion though, how about using a white background so we can see the sides of it a bit better.
