Yep,
It's just a color thing & nothing against you... Scott & I looked at it yesterday & agreed that your concept of streamlining a huge street car & overpowering it is kewl to say the least. As you know, the devil's in the details;Just my corrupt idea of a flyin' Brick, you know, Beauty & the Brick...LOL..! ;D Hizoot Perfect..!Hizoot

Aaaaand in this corner ...we have the Challenger - Beauty wearing the perpetual primer with a record of 0 and 1 due to TDO - Terminal detail overload. Hosted on FotkiHosted on FotkiWhen you do stuff like this, it just takes time. Hosted on FotkiHere's the plan.. Hosted on FotkiTim, The Flying Brick it awesome! A great build. The design is brutal. It's a show piece for sure. I've said before, if we go by the rules, a quick build - you got the prize. This build taught me so much. I learned a LOT of fab techniques and got the opportunity to share them. I am getting near paint. Maybe next time we can switch roles. I go basic and you go detail. I already have another land speed car idea. This time fab is OK - only plug wires! Hat's off to you Bud! Flounder Klown

tim, i have a few questions about the brick. you have all of those dzus fasterners, aluminum distributors, plug wires, seat belts and all the little details. but why are the door handles and emblems body color ? why are there no parachute cords ? i would think that with all of the fine details, you would have addressed those as well...or did you plan for them to be that way ? it is an outstanding build and i have never seen a more beautiful, fast looking block of cement. great job !!

Rob, your right. I guess I just ind of forgot the chute lines, maybe will add those soon. Everything else, I should have shaved them, but I was thinking they could still open the doors to access the motors, etc;, but I wanted them to not show up. Good points! (I think I was also reaching terminal velocity burnout at this point as well.... ;D)

Tim, I like it. . . I love the color and flame job! And the details are real nice too! the pipes coming out of the body. . and where they come out are the coolest to me. . . .it is a killer build! I understand the burn out. . . you have been doing a ton this past year! . . . .you need a break! You deserve a break! ! ! ! Go put your feet up and open the glue. . . . GB barten

I bought the Rat Fink fonts set from House Industries several years back when they first came out. Neat stuff. Worth the price, as I've used them countless times over the years. I just looked them up, a bit much right now for me to spend. www.houseind.com/fonts/ratfinkfontsMarty

Speaking of oldies-
Tim, where did you get those resin cast wheels. I posted a pic of your Flying Brick on another forum and someone building a 66 Lincoln asked about them.
These were good days, Buddy.
