Like it! ! ! THE head is great and you can always change the head with a saw. . . and putty! And paint. . . . Very cool idea! GB BArten Now THAT's a good idea! Make the head interchangable .... I guess I could make Taps and holes and keep the head loose to make a swap easy! Hmmmm, I'll think about that.

Here's a mockup of the chassie and how the roman soldier will look like with his left arm stickin' out of the side window.

Finally an update....this one stalled for a few months but now I'm back in business! ;D The tires will be widened and the front raised like an old school gasser. More to come so please stay tuned....

Sorry, still not done....but, IN PROGRESS! I'v e been collectiong parts for the build and finally found almost every little detail I've been after. Still missing some nice tubes to make the wild slicks. I have re-concidered the build a little and in stead of the lowered front it'll have a raised straight axle in gasser-style! This one is a competition-build on a swedish model-forum and the deadline is set to september 2007.

That Hanomag was designed by Dr. Ferdinand Porsche.Metal body on wooden frame, one door, one cylinder rear engine, and chain drive. My one will run a front mounted inline-6 from Red Baron and homemade "showrod-slicks" with Red Baron Wheels

why a soldier? what about an emperor.... et to brutis.......... ;D Simply because I could only find a soldiers head... but an emperor would've looked nice as well. The head I'm using is from a kid's PEZ-toy.

I had a couple of these rare East German kits laying around and decided to put my 1960 Plymouth Hearse on hold and do a Hanomag Show-rod... This is what I started with: And here's how I want the result to look like: I've dubbed it "Gassin' C-C-Claudius" as it'll have an "overgrown" roman soldiers head stickin' thru the roof...

Despite the crappy pic, it looks like a nice project. I've always liked that kit a lot and still have a MIB in the hobby-room...

Short update on this one. One of my slant 6's were missing the left half of the gearcase so I had to scratchbuild that half along with a stock exhaust manifold (using parts from an old chevy 6 manifold). Here's the result of my gearcase-attemt.... The primer-red one is the scratchbuilt one.

Well, maybe Kim. I might be in The US at the time for BUCK. But if not, I'll probably cruise down there.
