one suggestion. . . I would fill the holes of the old axle . . . and file that area smooth to not draw attention to it. Please check the last pic, Red Baron machineguns mounted in the old stock front axle holes. And, BTW this "rod" was finished late in the evening 091207. However, I won't show any pic's until september 30th 'cause that's the final day for the online-contest in which I participate with this one! Stay tuned...

Just a quick update.
This one's coming together, not very fast...but it will be done in time for the deadline, sept 30.
This evening I've done some detailing and painting on the chassie and the "driver". Also, I've repainted the body and will have to put another coat or two on tomorrow before the clearcoat.
New pic's will follow in 2-3 days, stay tuned!
