From a very friendly guy I bought this weekend a handful kits ... I will post in the future some of the nice VW bugs he built 20 years ago now guess what ... I´m happy ... got some kits I thought I´ll never hold in my hands Mannix Roadster .... Uncertain T ... Sand Crab ! all built ... no gluebombs ... overall good condition and absolutely complete ... including instructions and nice boxes probably I will have to restore them cause they are nearly falling apart ... the old glue became dry and fragile the Mannix is already taken apart .... too many parts fell off during transport ... but its complete ... I must say that the mannix was nearly unknown to me ... somehow I had overlooked it always in the alphalist ITC Corvette from 1962 ... I finally decided to buy that thing ... maybe you remember the other thread I measured it and compared with the real cars lenght ... I´d say it is 1/12 unbuilt ... good condition ... including the old instructions and nice box ... still have to check if its complete interesting kit ... 3in1 ... with custom parts ... includes electromotor ... the interior is made of clear plastic I will post some pics 1/16 Revell Praying Mantis restorable condition .. not sure if complete ... but looks like

At the Seattle IPMS show this weekend, I scored four Matchbox 1/76 military kits for $2 each. Lovely little models of Monty's Caravan and a Daimler Scout Car; a Chevrolet truck and a Jeep; a Diamond T tank transporter; and a Krupp military truck--just the thing to relax with after finishing a big project! For $2 each, I shoulda just bought every one he had. Kicking myself now. Also got a Tamiya 1/12 Mini for $20--partially started, but nice work (and easily popped apart--I think he used white glue!)

Here as promised the pics of the ITC Corvette .... for the ones who dont know how that kit looks like ... to give an idea about the size the box is about double long and wide a normal 1/24 kit couldnt believe it ... went through all parts ... its still complete after nearly 50 years ... cool idea ... if you move the shifter forward it runs forward and if you move it backwards it runs backwards ... not bad for such a kit ... to be used with "D-type" batteries .... can you see the tiny motor at the rear left fender ? dont know if I will keep the corvette ... I buy these big kits ... but somehow never build them ...lets see what happens
