Hi again! I don't post much as you can see as I don"t generally have anything interesting to add. Today though a friend that collects die-cast(as I do) called with an amazing find. Long story short,he scored a bunch of mint unbuilt kits. Along with several vintage plane kits,he got a vintage Visible V8 kit and a Visible Chassis kit. These are still sealed inners and with all paperwork in mint boxes.Going to check this out weds. nice haul for a rummage sale!!

I AM SO EXCITED I CAN HARDLY STAND IT!!!!!!!!!!! OK, so I stumble upon this auction with just a description, no pictures, of some model kits. The seller has a rating of 1, yes one!! I took a chance and went ahead and bid. I got the box today. WOO-HOO a new sealed T-Bird! I have wanted one of these all my life!! Oh yeah, some old car with dolls or something inside: ;D And some old race cars: ;D ;D ;D ;D And this: WOO-HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! The description said is was still sealed, and it was basically. The clear wrap was still there but almost completely torn off. Notice the paint bottle and brush are still in there. The decals are MINT, the box is almost perfect. What was my winning bid you ask? $46.00!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Marty I contacted the seller to see if she was going to put any more models up on the bay. She said that was all they had. They were gifts to her husband when he was young and had no interest in them. Weird to think someone doesn't have an interest in models. Marty

I really enjoy my 1/32 scale kits! They make good material to convert to slot cars to get that unique car no one else is running. They also bring back memories of building the Monogram "49ers" and the PYRO "Table Top" series. The "Piping Hot" and the "T Bomb" are really lame. The engine parts do not attach to an engine, glue 'em to the body. I suppose it helped them utilize the poor selling molds they already had. The Woodie Wagon I already have converted to a slot car. It has seen better days. The updated Aurora kits I never really liked the big tires they put on them, but they are period correct. Marty

Funny you mentioned BOX ART Don ...you should get a chuckle out of this story ..... I was cruising eBay and ran across this auction... with 20 seconds left on the eBay clock .. I had no time to read the description PLUS my cheeters were in the other room...LOL... I placed my winning bid with just seconds remaining and won ... when I went back and read the description I relized I bought a NICE CLEAN kit BOX with decals and instructions....LOL.... well I guessed I've pi$$ed away $20 on worse things.... I can hardly wait for my "treasure" to arrive....LOL..... (stoopid Chuck)

this arrived today, a little late but at least it's here! I was under the assumption that this kit was "sealed". It's not, there are no traces of tape ever being on it either. Anyways, I opened the box and it's all minty inside! The lady even put bubble wrap between everything so parts would not rub on each other. I am very happy , it's going to be fun to build!

It's Clearance time Clarence! Just found an Infina-T, Stingaree, & a Hippie Hemi marked down 40% to 10 Schamollians each. Don't need 'em but I wasn't going to pass them up for future bashing if nothing else.
Go get 'em boys!

I found one of my grales, in perfect condition. The Tom Daniels Quicksilver, untouched, like new. Finally I can add this one to my collection again

Ok folks, not so much of a score...but I didn't know where else to post this. I was in the local Wal-Mart last night....and if you don't know, they have a 12 pack of bead craft wire, 28g, for about $8. Lots of funky colors for us showrod boys to plumb up our motors. Enjoy.
