Some items I picked up a local hobby shop I hadn't shopped for a while. They mostly do RC stuff, so their kit section is modest, but I guess they still do some consignment. All are complete, except the Quicksilver is missing instructions... no biggee. The bike still has its original seal. All three were $1.98 each. At that price, I could get a nice return for the buck, but I'll probably end up building 'em someday

I think it's only the second one I've seen. If I'm thinking right, it's a bit larger than the typical white box kits from the era but the face graphics are definitely different from the more readily available version. Very nice find!

After looking on the web, I was kinda wondered about the box scarcity. Unfortunately, the previous owner used that brown packing tape to pin down both sides. Other than that, it's not in bad shape. Did find that the only part it's missing was one rear spring. Probably rattled itself out of the box.

It's going to take a ton of work, but I finally got a Cheetah body. It's cast from a Strombecker slot car body and is WAY out of proportion, so I'm going to make a a modernized street car out of it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, someday.

Just got this off of Evilbay , for once there was no sniping and everything worked out . This was a Young Model Builders Club kit , just like the one that I got in the mail back in the day. My kit was long gone, and though I remembered having the kit, I couldn't remember the name of it. Just a lucky shot I punched in builders club and it came up . I got a really good deal on it ; it brought back a lot of memories too.

I got these kits over the last few months and some I have been looking for for some time now!! I had been looking for the "Olds 442 Street Freak" for a very long time and come to find out a guy in our club who sells a lot of newer kits at our club meetings and swap meets and I picked up the Vega Mini Van from him and told him I was also looking for the "Olds 442 Street Freak" kit and he was oh yeah I have that kit at home, you can have it for $20!!!! Oh and the hub caps are for my '74 Plymouth Duster... And when I went to his house I also picked up the Touch Tone Terror kit!!! So the reason I have been looking for those kits is because of this Christmas photo of kits I got in 1977 and I now have 4 of the 5 kits and only have the MPC Brooks NASCAR to find and I know where a mint one is, but the asking price is $200!!! Thanks for looking guys!!

Dont know why this one went so cheap, but I'm glad I threw a bid on it - $15.50 shipped and its 99% complete ! I've seen incomplete gluebombs go for $30- $50 . I haven't scored a deal on Ebay like this in a looong time . r.ebay.com/Dex2oM

I've noticed that the winning bids have been getting lower lately , what was $100+ last year now is going for half that or even less . Good for us , bad for the sellers ! And there are some really good deals like you got . . . recently I won a Blue Thunder bug body for $16 and a Dune Rat body + parts for under $5 dollars !! I need to take some pics and post them .

I've noticed some stuff going pretty cheap, but other items you can't touch for less than crazy prices (Don's Horn Toad being an exception!) I recently picked up a built green Poison Pinto, complete except for the rear nerfs, with the box and instructions for $20, and it was te only bid. Not a nasty glue bomb, either, but a pretty clean unpainted build that will come apart easily. Other TD stuff shoots up over $50-100 almost every time. Maybe some models go in and out o eBay popularity. Brian

The good and the bad- I got my Horn Toad. The seller taped it tightly in a little ball of bubble wrap and the shipped it in a large box with no packing ! Good thing the glue was so good back then as this kit bounced around like crazy from Kentucky to Connecticut. Only the rear axle broke off, it could have been a lot worse Anyone have some old Rattlers or Horn Toad junkers lying around for parts ? LOL

Woohoo! Not so much a "great find" or a steal, but just catching eBay at the right time. Scored a builder Unreal Roller last night on a Buy It Now. I can't say it was cheap, but it was much less than what I've seen them go for. Looks to be mostly complete - possibly missing the handbrake and maybe one taillight, and is unpanted and comes with the box. Happy happy!
