I was at a show today when I saw this, complete and unstarted for £20.00 (around $28.00). I wouldn't have thought that there are many of these here in the UK, I know I'd never seen one before so of course I had to snap it up.

I won a couple of old builds on ebay a couple of weeks back, a Renwal Mercer and an AMT '57 T Bird. Both are very nicely built but need a little work to get then back to their former glory.

I don't know why I've always wanted to get one of these crazy kits, probably the cool 1960's box art got my attention,or maybe because its as old as I am. . They always seem to sell in the $40 and up range on Ebay ; this one I picked up at a car show Sunday . When the guy said $7.00 I jumped at it ! Its complete minus the rubber air hose to levitate it and the decals were used.

I won this 100% complete Tognotti's T off of Ebay this week ; misnamed "old Model T street rod, sharp but fragile" . It had just been listed with a "buy it now" option - the price ? $23.00 shipped ! Whoever the builder was ,he used very little glue , even the windshield has no trace of glue fog, and it will come apart easily for restoration. My only question is, should I paint it the orchid it was really painted in ,or in the aqua the box art shows ?. .

Don't you just love it when you find one just listed before anybody else does ? It's happened to me exactly once . Even better is a glue bomb that's not really a glue bomb ! If I had a box to display it with I'd paint it the Aqua , if not then probably the Orchid and find a nice color photo to display with it . Either way you're correct !

That's one of the reasons I was looking for this kit - I have most of the kits that the redline Hot Wheels cars were patterned after ,but I never thought I would be able to get one of these

I got very lucky last week and won these kits . The Invader and the Milk Truck were less than what one of them usually goes for , and I was the only bidder on the Groovy Grader so I got it really cheap ! That same day I was also the only bidder on this Va Va Vette (this stuff never happens to me) again very cheap ! I had never seen one of these unbuilt so thought I'd give you a peek inside .

Thanks guys , I'm pretty stoked about all of them ! Dang Bob! I can't wait to see the VA va vette built. You are going to build it right? Knowing the kind of money these are bringing it's tempting to just flip it , but it's staying right here and hopefully I'll get to it sooner than later !

I was watching that Groovy Grader, but I already bought enough toys this paycheck. That was a good price. I was shocked that no one else bid on it.

Another Ebay score , the listing said " incomplete kit" , but its actually nearly two complete kits ! (just missing the side wings). The Vega decals are mint, and I actually have a nice set of Shut Out decals for the Pinto . Now I just have to find the Gremlin funny car and my set is complete .

Good luck on the Gremlin (seriously.) Those almost never show up, and go for big bucks when they do. Brian

I paid $22.00 for this lot, and the last Gremlin I saw on Ebay had chipped up decals and a missing A post but still sold for nearly twice that !

I think the last time I saw a decent Gremlin - built, but complete and undamaged - it went for over $80. Definitely one of the harder to find TD kits.
