I was thrilled to win an Ebay auction of what I assumed to be an AMT Astro 1 for a VERY low $40. When it arrived, I realized why it was so cheap. It's not the AMT version, but this: I can't believe I was that dumb! All I had to do was look a little more closely at the picture. I was just so excited about the price I went for it. There's no plated parts, and it's way more simplistic than the AMT version, which is too bad, but it's probably the only chance I'll ever get to build this cool car. Does anybody know anything interesting about this kit?

JK but, this I do know, I recently won a subject I've been after for years. And I was the only bidder. Y'all will see it hopefully before Christmas 🎅 but, the point is , I've come to the conclusion, that never, never means never.

Does anybody know anything interesting about this kit? It's a Japanese kit from Bandia that AHM out of Philly imported and box as theirs. Other than that a very simple kit and a little under scale if I recall right. I had the Entex version at one time.....seems like it was 1/27 scale or so.

At last it's arrived! We were advised in January this year that Airfix were about to re-issue a number of kits, in a new 'Vintage Classics' range... It's come in grey plastics so the body will not be painted and raised up for more ground clearance. Oh and I've just ordered another one to paint up!

A Monogram L'IL Coffin. From ebay here in the UK for £10 as it is already used/started etc, as you can see it's in bits. The owner painted most things gold and tried to stick the chrome parts on top of the paint, but also without removing the chrome plating. I'm stripping the paint from the back axle/driveshaft and the engine block as most of the chrome parts began to fall off once I handled them. The hinges on both the doors and body are broken in one way or another and I will try to replace them.

Not only a cool Show Rod but it has the very best wheels and tires ever in a kit ! (My opinion)

Cheers Bob, the only problem was no instructions, having the chrome parts falling off I've no idea how the interior should look, any idea where I might find some please?

Found after a long wait off of ebay UK.. 28.08.21. It's landed at last. It's in the wash! When I've finished re-building a glue bomb L'ill Coffin and a new Heller Renault R4 I can get on with this! I've seen pics of many builds and the colour changes builders have made of this kit, I'm contemplating colours etc. I must find a wired distributor to start with.

On it's way from the USA my Christmas present, in shipping.. It landed today from the USA. It's bigger than I thought it would be, at least 8 inches long! Very good finish. Jimmy Flintstone 1954 Metro Van.

Unfortunately the condition of the body/chassis was too far gone for me to rescue it. So I'm using the wheels/tyres on another project.
