[glow=red,2,300]GETTING A GRIP!!![/glow] Before: SUPER FUZZ threw out the sterring wheel. That's bad for racing... After: SUPER ALTERED (the New Freedy) needs to hang on to that wheel! I cut off the two outside fingers & moved them in tighter. Then I cut off the thumb & glued it back on the inner palm. Added a little putty and sanded it smooth. On the right is Fred's New Steering Hand!!!! On the left is an Extra left hand that was in the box...

[glow=red,2,300]PUSH the BUTTON!!![/glow] Before: SUPER FUZZ had a tight grip on the Club. After: SUPER ALTERED's New Extended Thumb is in the right "Button Pushing" Position! Hey, that third hand was just what Fred needed! I ground the SUPER FUZZ thumb from the Club and flattened the side of the hand, to make room for Fred's New Thumb. I cut the thumb off the extra left hand and glued it in place as shown. Before glueing the new thumb in place, I make a wedge cut on the inside of the thumb joint & bent the end of the thumb in closer, and then glued it in that position. I also cut a wedge section on the inside of the wrist joint & bent the wrist down in closer, and then glued it in that position. Fred really looks like he is ready to push the button now....

[glow=red,2,300]Cutting Up the Shell![/glow] I started with a Radiator & Shell from the Piewagon. It's not quite big enough to fit over the fuel tank.... Next I cut it in half and cut out the radiator. Then I added strip plastic between the halves and also added a little on each bottom side. A little sanding & putty & the Altered T Shell is ready to go...

A very beautiful kit. One of the nicest molds popped in the early 60's. I've got two of these. I wish that recent Eye's gone wild was sculpted like this. I like where this is going. A custom Stanly Mouse monster in a custom built show rod. Brilliant. Cant wait to see this done. Take your time.

[glow=red,2,300]More Details....[/glow] I added 6 plastic Bolt Ends to the front of the Supercharger. Then I carved out the top pulley added a Big Bolt End inside. I also added a Big Bolt End on the lower pulley. Next I added a small piece of plasic tubing on the front of the engine to mount the distributor.

[glow=red,2,300]Freds Got Hands![/glow] I bent & twisted Freds right hand into position & glued it in place. The left hand was attached to Fred's chest and the area between the wrist & arm was bridged with putty. The knees & ankles were also modified to make more leg room for Fred. After a little sanding the wrists are blending into the arms.

[glow=red,2,300]SLICKS!!![/glow] Great Slicks & Mags in this kit, nice detailing. Too bad they dont have backs. I made backs for the Slicks with sheet plastic. If I had a second set of these, I would have glued them together to make double wides!!!

[glow=red,2,300]ROLL BAR![/glow] I made the Roll Bar from plastic rod. The Wing will fit on top of the Roll Bar and the Parachute will attach to the two narrow bars on the back.

[glow=red,2,300]FRED GETS HIS WINGS!!![/glow] I needed a wing that was bigger than most 1/25th scale wings. So I started with 2 "Stinger/Trick T" Wings, some plastic "Channel" strip, and sheet plastic. I cut 4 strips of plastic Channel, 1/4" X 3/16". Then I glued them on the top back of the first wing. Next I attached the bottom front of the second wing on to the 4 Channel Strips. I made the first Wing Fin from sheet plastic. I made it oversized and cut it down a little at a time untill I got the shape I wanted. Then I traced the Fin shape on to sheet plastic, cut out the second Fin and sanded both Fins together - at the same time. Here are the Fins glued in place...ready for primer!

[glow=red,2,300]ALTERED WHEEL BASE!!![/glow] BEFORE: The rear wheels on the Super Fuzz are mounted way too far forward. The Slicks almost cover the door lines. AFTER: The rear wheels line up with the rear edge of the body and clear the door lines. I cut off the rear end and filled the hole with scrap plastic. I cut off the Push Bar too because I was concerned about it breaking it off. I will put it back in place later. I glued the rear end in about 1/2" back towards the rear of the body. This makes a BIG difference in the appearence of the car. I like the wheels much better in this position, it looks much more realistic!

[glow=red,2,300]TOTAL ALTERED WHEEL BASE!!![/glow] BEFORE: The front axle lines up with the pulleys & belt. AFTER: The front axle is moved about a half inch forward. It only takes a little bit of carving to fit the front axle into the holes for the Moon tank. The radiator shell will be behind the axle & the Moon Tank will be on top of the axle. I also added adapters to mount custom wheels and add to the axle width. This will put the front wheels out in front of the car!

[glow=red,2,300]NEW WHEELS!!![/glow] I found these new front wheels for the SUPER ALTERED in the "OUTLAW & Robin Hood Fink" kit. They match the Super Fuzz Rear Slicks & they have Great Detail! Here is what's in the "OUTLAW & Robin Hood Fink" kit: There is a 25th scale Roth Outlaw kit, less the tires & decals. Great front monster wire wheels & bad rear monster tires. A big ugly monster with a Cowboy Hat, Boots & Bullet Holes...

[glow=red,2,300]ROCKET POWER - 1300+ HP!!![/glow] Sounds like one of Wille E. Coyote's ACME Rocket Engines or something.... I figured out what Fred's Button is for...Turbo Rocket Power from "Turbonique". Tubonique made bolt on Rocket Power available by mail order. I saw ads for this company back in the 1960's. These Rocket engines were connected to rear end, so that you had 1300 HP going right to your rear wheels plus the thrust!!! SOUNDS CRAZY!!!... That's Perfect for Freddy!!! I started with a rear end from a 58 Chevy, 2 wheel backs from a 59 El Camino, plastic tubing and a piece of aluminum tubing. Here are the parts glued together. The 58 Chevy rear end is the first section, it attaches to the quick change rear end on the car. The wheel backs were glued together to make the center section. There are 7 round fittings on the center section, they were made with slices of plastic tubing. The aluminum tubing had a slice of plastic tubing added at one end. Then I cut a square of sheet plastic for the base and glued it to the tubing. Then I added plastic Bolt Ends for detail. N1830SA.jpg[/img] Ready for paint & detailing! More photos coming!!!
