Sitting at the model desk I drew this up one night. By no means am I any type of artist in drawing but this shows what I am trying to create. There was an old Mysterion build that I was never happy with in a box so I cut out the top of the body and then cut off the sides with the vents. After contemplating how to get the body shape I wanted I added sheet styrene to the edges. Using some sheet styrene I made some wings. I tried to glue them on and after they dried I wasn’t happy so I cut them off. I decided to fill in the wheel wells and add the bottom part of the wing as in the drawing. I will be keeping the twin engines although I may change the intakes, exhausts and maybe the valve covers. I hope you like it so far. All constructive criticism and suggestions welcome. Dave

Did a little more cutting and piecing. I was stumped on how to design the rear but my two remaining brain cells must have come close enough to spark an idea. No name has popped into my head yet. I think I'll let this build progress further to see where it will go. A name should work it's way out by then. More to come. I hope to get this completed for NNL East. Dave

That looks wild already!
Paint it black with some purple fogging and call it Nightwing.

I added a bit more to the rear. I still need to get some curvature on the rear. I'm now thinking about attempting a dual bubble to match the dual engines and fins. The middle exhausts from the twin engines will go out thru the rear so that will take up some of the emptiness there. I also put up a mock build with a single bubble just to see what needs to be done. I know there will be lots of puttying and sanding on the body to smooth out all the sharp angles. I will also add side vents for the brakes. Dave

I like the look with the single bubble... maybe just trim it down a bit more.

Nosferatu! With those wings and the right grill/nose piece its a no brainer. Of course don't forget to plumb a 200 shot to each engine to play off the name....

OK, I've officially named it: Nosferatu's Ride Thanks Steamboy & Paul for the great suggestion. I have added what I think might be the appropriate nose. I may still have some alterations to make. I'm not sure if I like the dual headlights as they may make it too wide in the front. Let me know what you think. Dave

Granted, the dual lights are wide but take into account the tires. Just set a couple next to the rear and see... my guess is they'll balance it out.

Compared to the size of the body, the nose looks a bit too bulky giving it an unbalanced feel. But as mentioned above, with the engines, bubble and wheels on it, it might not look so front heavy.
Maybe instead of losing a pair of the lights, you could just move them in a bit. The overall shape of the nose is great, it just needs a little tweaking. JMO.
If you look at the mock up of my Fiat/Bandit, you can see how I moved the lights in a little.

If you look at the mock up of my Fiat/Bandit, you can see how I moved the lights in a little. I was thinking about moving the lights closer to each other. I realize that the front is a lighter color and that might make it look bigger. I may end up making one light on each side. Dave

I primed the front to make it all the same color and put it back on and put some tires in place. I think it looks pretty good. The tires add more width and the headlights don't seen that wide anymore. You can see that the engines make it wider in the front and when the pipes go on it will make it look more even. What do you think? Dave
