Final assembly has started on the Digger kit. So far Commander McBragg is happy with the progress of his creation. The frame and body are one, along with the engine. I didn't quite think ahead with the engine, I needed the blowers mounted to make the drive belts. The engine won't go into place with the blowers on. I had to break the body in an out of the way spot to get the engine in. The Machine Guns finally make an appearance. The site for the cowl is blocked by the fuel rail, but it's still neat looking and adds to the Aero theme. Quite!

Great work Ira. You must have a huge display cabinet. ;D Thanks Scott, I wish I did! I'm looking for one or 2 now. I do have a nice wall unit for some of the 25th scale cars. Most of my models are in small plastic display cases, the bigger ones are in BiG plastic containers. I am thinking about selling some of my Built Model Collection, including Vintage CAR MODEL MAGAZINE Models & the GOODGUYS GAZETTE Models...It is a Big Collection getting Bigger all the time!

The Pin-Up decal was a total failure on the first try. The decal laid out fine and looked part of the finish, unfortunately I didn't read where there was no white in the decal. I have a silver Pin-Up girl. End of round one, Dave-0 Model Demons-1 If you look close, you can see Commander McBragg was out in the sun. A couple of washes, really brought him to life.

Very nice Hog vette, Ira... What color youre gonna use on the body? maybe you can try metallic black or Metallic charcoal... might give a good contrast with red and white decals as you re going to use Just a penny thought. b

After the Arse Kickin I got on the last round, I decided I needed to redeem myself. I made a mask to sand the clear and old decal off. To be safe I took a lot of the tack out of the tape so as not to lift any rivets. I now have a white base for a Pin-Up girl to sit in. I will add a black or blue ring around the red one to clean it up a bit.

I'm glad I screwed up the first Pin-Up girl, I like having her inside a WW2 style fighter graphic. I think it's Dave-2 Model Demons-1 Now I think the wings need the circle graphics, which BTW are what was used on the Hawker Typhoon. The Typhoon had them on the side of the fuselage.
