The "Bus" is looking great! Hope you find a solution for the roof, I'm kind of anxious to see the next evolution of this project!

Thank you very much, Bill … unfortunately I have not solved that with the roof yet... I worked a bit on the front suspension. Since I have no frame under this build, I have to solve it differently ... The original suspension... … directly on the body... … because I have smaller wheels in diameter, that's still too high... … so it has to be adjusted... ... that's how it has to be...

Thank you very much! For a normal car, the next item is very untypical ... … but these houses usually have a brick chimney that is partially visible outside: So I start with a PVC block: … before I had marked the brick positions, I have milled one side of the top half... .. this was my main tool for the following step... … that it does not get too heavy, I have removed some weight with the Dremmel...

The whole thing was a little bit too big in width, I have now reduced and refined it... … an additional plate serves as a lid on it... … and this is the final position...

I never thought I’d enjoy seeing someone make a chimney as much as I am 😂

Thank`s! Where do you get a block of PVC??? Well, I also need these materials for business, in the past I bought PVC panels in the size 1000mm x 2000mm and in thicknesses from 5mm to 50mm... … a small amount of something that remains after the main part has gone or been taken or used...

On the left is a cylinder head screw, face-turned on the lathe, in the middle is a so-called beard sleeve and on the right is also a cylinder head screw, turned inside on the lathe... … these three parts put together... … the whole thing four times... … and these four glued to the lid of the chimney...

Imagine if we cloned Bobby - think of all the cool builds that we’d get to see! 🤣😂
They cloned a sheep YEARS ago, they must be close to being able to make a copy of a person surely? 😂

Bobby, this is going to be KILLER!!! You are a master of plastic! I have been looking for something to do with Rommels Rod for quite some time. You found a perfect re-make of this. I am still in the think tank on this one. Keep up the fantastic work!

Thank you very much! Worked a little bit on this build again, here is the driver's seat, so far… ... and the chimney first became matt black with a spray can... ... and then refined with the dry painting technique...

Thank you very much for the kind words! Now it is time to adapt the roof overhang to the chimney, the piece marked in green must go away: The glued-on profiles are first sawn off to the side, then broken away and finally filed to fit: The finished recess: The compilation shows, that it fits:

What a hoot! The architecture relates to the car chassis! That looks to me what should BE a production kit! Xcellent!

Thank you very much for the kind words! Well, here are a few things I have put together for this build, I'm sure I'll use one or the other part, in any form... ... and yes, there are also some from this box too...

Another little detail, which many will only recognize after a repeated look on the finished build, but it seems all the more important to me, to create it Door knockerA door knocker is an outside door fitting with a movable ring or mallet that beats on a button attached underneath to prompt the residents of the house or apartment to open it. Most of the time, the knocker and the surface on which the ring falls are made of bronze or iron in order to produce an audible knocking sound even with very solid doors. The Middle Ages and the Renaissance turned the door knocker into small works of art and was often an expression of the wealth and social position of the house owner at the time the house was built... I start with this one, a skull made of metal, probably nickel-plated brass, it comes from a bracelet, i bought it very cheap and there were about twelve skulls on it... … first I sanded the back of the head, roughly to the middle, or to the ear area... … then I drilled a 1mm hole from the side between his teeth... In this box i have different metal springs... ... from which I chose a suitable one in wire thickness and diameter... I cut one turn of this spring and bent it into a ring... ... the ring comes through the holes between the teeth and was gently pressed...

I haven't worked on this for a long time, certain things don't want to turn out the way i thought they were... ... and I hate setbacks... I wanted to create a kind of canopy over the entrance... This plexiglass tube lying around for some time, and i have already used it for my timbertruck- project, coffincorner.proboards.com/thread/17651/timber-truck-wip-21-aug?page=2and has, coincidentally, ca. the desired diameter... ... i cut out of it, this part here... ... sanded the desired shape... So far so good... ... but somehow i was not satisfied with the curvature, the radius was too tight and did not fit on the upper corner of the door to the chimney and peeked very little over the roof... ... so i put the part in the hot water for a few minutes and pressed it with a small press to enlarge the radius... ... suddenly there was a bang and i had two parts ... ... back to the starting field ...

I am always greatly impressed with your ingenuity! Too bad about the broken window, at least you know what not to do when making the next one. I don't have the dexterity I used to have due to arthritis so there are many occasions that I will spend some time on making a small part and drop it only to never find it. Somewhere in my basement there are all the dropped parts!
