I'm posting these here, even though I think only one of these is actually in the Showroom; many of us thought they should ALL be there. Many years ago John Bissinger (RatRod) posted a piece on them; I thought, at the time, since I had them that would be a good time to finally build them and post; but, as I was still working a LOT of overtime, I just never got around to it. I don't think anyone has ever built and posted all or most of these anywhere. Being retired, I finally had the time. These were all MIB kits I've had for a long time. The Sandkat is the only one that has been reissued, these are originals. I've always felt the rare kits should be built, not hoarded away.
Here's a link to his post then- I built these before the end of '23. Pretty much boxstock, close to boxart builds. Only a couple of changes- for example, on the Sandkat I substituted headers that were very close to the same, but were single piece parts and not the "build it pipe-by-pipe" kind, which I absolutely hate- such a waste of time. On the Sand T Buggy, which is really just the AMT '25 with some changes, the headers included in the box are shorter and don't match the boxart, so I substituted headers from a '25 kit, to match the boxart. Also, I've built so many of the '25 T over the decades that I don't even look at the instructions or boxart; I always put the tank lever on the driver's side; didn't notice until I took pics, that the boxart has it on the other side. No biggie, but I noticed. No extra detailing except some paint, comments welcome!

Wow, that's a nice collection! I was pleased to see the Sandkat re-issued, maybe some of the others will be, some day!

Wow to own a complete series is one thing, but to build and display that series is quite another! Bravo! And the boxes look to be in great shape too.
Next up: construct a small sandbox to display them in a circle like they were at ummmmmmm, dare I say it--a RALLY!

Superb! More super kits (and builds) that didn't make it to the UK!

Great collection ! Love the builds and boxart. No matter how rare, they are meant to be built...I totally agree.

I always loved the box art of these kits. Great job on the builds. It is the first time I have seen them built. Very nice!
