Nice work! Big fan of VW's Thanks 3dscaleparts, yes we as a family are great fans too of various VW vehicles. We had five beetles in including a '59 cabrio imported from California. But our youngest son bought it in bits and we didn't have the funds to finish it so sold it on! I also worked on a VW based kit car project in the '70's with the factory owner (MBC Eurooco) alongside building my own ford based estate car for our two sons BMX racing. MBC Eurocco Dutton Sierra

That's cool Pat! You really put these things together fast! The truck mirrors are cool! Does the real one not have doors at all? Interesting! The factory built this VW but the Santa Cruz staff did a photoshop on it to see whether it would look good with a roof chop and left the picture at that. This is the real van...

Yes Kabdriver James, as were in the middle of our little island called the UK and not having the chance to go to Cornwall or Devon to try Surfing, I'm compensating into making these boards, including them into as many builds as I can and building 7 Meyers Manx plus various other beach buggies in the hope of one day having a go at surfing, but coming 70 in 6 months time I really don't know!

Hi, yes I have a resin kit in 1/24/1.25 scale and here's the dimensions of the lid, sorry roof! So that's.... 4.9 cm across the windscreen. 5.3 cm along the sides and I squared off the rear taking into consideration the compound curves at 6.8cm. Give me a shout if you need any further help/dimensions, whatever.

Some children's/ general stores do arm tattoos using stickers but you don't see them much at all. I think the adult tattoo shops have the monopoly so don't like to see the temporary ones on sale!

Thanks for that info Paul, I've wondered about using those. I must do a search on Google to see if there are any here in the UK.

This is just a test of more homebrewed decals I've printed. I find/see various patterns designs across the internet and copy a few at a time. This measures the right amount of gloss clear that I've laid up onto the decal paper after printing from my PC. I had this little Toyota Land Cruiser snap type kit to test them on. They look good after a coat of gloss clear on the bodyshell after laying up, to keep them from drying out and peeling off. It also saves buying aftermarket at around £16 per sheet. I can get 10 sheets of either white or clear backed decal paper for around £9.

Ohh, that's cool Pat! I like the Centrelines! I LOVE those wheels - I dont think there's much that they wouldn't look good on! Thanks James. Yes I bought a few packs of the wheels, Pegasus Smalls on the front and bigs on the rear! Like this one I built last year... One of seven Manx's I've built, own decals and my cast surfboard and custom seats made in the 70's (someone had 5 pairs of various designs on ebay UK)

Thanks hobbybobby. No warping, thickness or bubbles to contend with, very surprised as I've bought others with all three! Top quality as they have been doing resin kits/casting for a long time.
