Thanks Guys for the push and pics but................ I'm part-scratchbuilding a truck, in between times of waiting for decals to set, paint to dry and roll cage to set, like today sitting indoors waiting for printer inks,Revell Clear glue, Plasti-Kote Clear Gloss and a Monogram Ford '30 Woody kit to arrive I've done this.... And looking for an ideal paint colour for the sun tan on the figure, I've already oven cleanered off a very dark brown, too dark.

Bought one of these through Amazon USA, it took just 6 days to get here to the UK, shortest time ever! To continue my surfers theme.............. I having to print some more woodgrain decal as this kit is quite a bit bigger than 1/24 or 1/25 scale.

Thanks Hemi. Yes it is one of my home printed woodgrain decals I've used. Just taken a copy from a website, modified it's size by putting it onto a Word document and printed onto white backed decal paper. All I've done is made the side decal lighter than the kit one that is very dark brown.

Thanks Bob, and I've just looked on this box and it's dated 2016! Today, the paint has dried, at last I've got the hatch to work but not the nose lamp, it just wouldn't stay still! And the steering works too! And the hatch shuts! And more tomorrow.

Hi Bob, nice hearing from you again! Yes those two kits so similar and nobody knew! The wood decals are purely a picture copied from the web and and printed up. I've also decalled the inside of the side panels as the rear of the car will be open. Yes I'm trying to get hold of one or the other, but that's pretty impossible. When were they made Bob?

Today's work, I left the cross bars on the roof rack.............. Put a couple of clear gloss coats on the Tamiya Candy Apple Green............... In test fitting both the hatch and front nose/headlight I've scratched/chipped the yellow paint so have had to repaint both. I keep shaving down the items but they are still a very tight fit, so may stick them in place.................. And fiited the tail lights................

Yes Hemi they are four sets of headers, one tucks inside the other so two on each side. I put them on with the rear header onto the block then the front one. They fir vey well, I shall finish them off with some alloy tube on the ends. So you made them? ? -NICE job! No Hemi They are in the kit.

Re-shaped side panels, with woodgrain decals and port-holes............... Also re-shaped coffin surfboard with woodgrain decal. All here need a little paint round the edges to finish.

WOWIE! rocketeer, thanks for this! I have already found a wood drills of the correct diameter to cut the portholes....... These are just to test sizes on waste blanks, I think I will use the larger one. Now you mention the tilt, that brings another dimension into trimming the kit side panels! I shall also use the kit windscreen without the chrome frame.

NICE Work Pat!!!!! The frame looks GREAT! Question, the headers, those kit-parts, or did you make those? They look GREAT as they sit on the engine! Yes Hemi they are four sets of headers, one tucks inside the other so two on each side. I put them on with the rear header onto the block then the front one. They fir vey well, I shall finish them off with some alloy tube on the ends.

Superb Hemi, keep thinking how it should be, use plenty of imagination! Your designing in your head, I wake up at 4am and write things down so I don't forget! I like weird and wacky as possible, then I try and build it! My next build (already started) is an AMT Surf Woody, but................I've just found some pics of the Lindberg/Hawk Wild Woodie,(very, very rare) now that's different, so why don't I use what I see and get a mix of the two?
