As it sits now, there's a crack up top to fix, clean up some glue and strip the dash. Then paint starts on this little guy. I couldn't get the seats to clean up any better than this ? Used the professional strength easy off.

A guy using an Uncle Fester avatar on a different forum called this kit juvenile, dumb and mundane.

Not having much luck budging the yellow paint on that top piece, any suggestions ? Soaked in dot3 for days.

Got a Fast Buck on the way thanks to modelbuff1958 and the saw is sitting close by. Thanks for finding the side box picture, I was not having any luck.

Maybe yellow with green fenders ? I also wonder if it shows the Real Cool and Way Out differences ?

That's a really great looking build of a kit that I just don't like the front clip of.

I'm not holding it in my hand, but I think it's the original plastic, except for the yellow fenders and stuff. I see the box top shows a grey truck, trying to find a good view of the side of that box, looks yellow from what I can sort of see here.

modelbuff pm sent for trade.
The Butterfly sits in the freezer right now, was going to do a tear down rebuild on it, but I guess decals are none existent ? Should I just clean it up ? How do I remove the sloppy paint lines if I do that without stripping the whole thing ?

Now to figure out what to do with it. This was an unresearched whim, I didn't realize these are little 1/32 kits. I wanted an armored truck, but I don't like the Fast Buck front clip. Still might pick one up unless there's other kits ?

I like that truck, reminds me of the Heavy Weights Hot Wheels.

I've seen the Fire Truck and Lil Gasser here local, but they're still at least 25.00 plus tax and shipping, which you can do on ebay.

Is it okay to post some non show rod kits/parts/junk stuff to maybe trade towards show rod kits ? I have a few I might like to trade as someone here might be interested, you never know.

I was just at Hobby Lobby and grabbed a 24 dollar kit for 15 bucks with the printed online coupon. They had a 53 panel gasser that was cool.

That's interesting. I guess it would be just like any other monotonous job after a while. Like Roseanne pulling parts off plastic tree's all day.

Bumping old threads, sorry.
That's a great idea !! I've been trying to decide between looking for cheap individual piece cases or whether I wanted to make a glass door for a big shelf I have. This might just do the trick, I need to price some plexiglass. I guess those are mirror clips ?

So they actually came from Monogram prebuilt ? Now that would have been a cool job to have !
